Gareth Bale is one of the best players in the world. I think Bale and Messi are the top 2 in the world right now. He's been in incredible form the past two weeks (10 Goals in the past 9 games).

His 2 Freekick goals today for Spurs were unbelievable.

Madrid is a good team. However, I think their days are numbered. Mourinho is gone - that's guaranteed. But RM has a better chance to win titles and championships in La Liga than Tottenham does in England.

Funny how the best team money can buy doesn't win much lately. That's all RM has done. Even with a great coach, they've had a lot of problems. Same is true with the Yankees.

Money does help but RM doesn't know how to put a team together. Great players, yes. Team, no (very good team though).

As much as I hate Man U, they do a much better job with their money and personnel than the morons at RM.

Bale has been insane with the free kicks lately. I think Spurs will make Champions League unless they completely collapse, which should keep Bale with Spurs another season. He's still very young and is in the form of his life at a club he likes. I know money talks, but his current situation sets him up for some nice endorsement money. If he moves to a Spanish club and struggles (which could very well happen), he hurts his brand and kills some well earned momentum. I admit that there's some wishful thinking here, but I just don't think he reflexively goes where the money is unless Tottenham misses Champs League again.

I am a huge soccer/ European football fan. RM did have a great year in La Liga last year. So did Barcelona. However, it was their first title in the league in years. This year, they are awful (by their standards) and the title was over in December. They are 15 points behind Barca and have zero chance of catching up.

Mourinho and Ronaldo have conflicts and the team just isn't playing well. Yes, their big failures have been in the CL. I don't see that changing any time soon.

Back to Bale. He is a good player. Unlike a lot of young players, he is living up to his potential. I like his game. He would help RM. Money is a huge factor. However, if he is happy at Tottenham and they make the CL, he will stay. I think the CL is more a factor than money because both teams will pay.

Last goal was incredible. There's maybe four other people in the world who can do that. First one was good too, but I can't believe West Ham was letting him play off his left foot, as the announcers noted.

Jaski was saving everything tonight, too. Spurs could have scored 6 or 7, but Bale's shot was perfectly dipped into the upper corner. The run he's on right now, he could score from the parking lot.

Big points for Spurs too with Arsenal this weekend. Just adds that much more magnitude to Bale's magic at the moment.
