If people must accept openly gay players sharing a locker room with heterosexual players, lest they be labeled a bigot, then logically- the same must be said about women and men sharing a locker room.

I read an article a few days ago about a boy who identified himself as a girl, but technically speaking, he's still male. The school is being sued because he's bein forced to use the boys bathroom. I only bring that up because it is similar to the idea of why should anatomy force "separate but equal"?

You were quick to label anyone a bigot who might not be ok with openly gay players sharing a locker room with heterosexual players, yet I didn't see any condemnation from you towards those in this thread who said a female football player would have to have her own, separate locker room.

on the issue of whether, a double standard is being applied by the suggestion that women should have separate locker facilities than men:

1. men are physically different than women.
2. homosexual men are not physically different from heterosexual men.
3. thus acceptance of homo and heterosexual men sharing a looker room/shower facility is categorically different than the proposal that men and women share a looker room/shower facility.


On other tangental isssues:

1. I would characterize your argument as largely, distraction by tangent.
2. for example:
a. will a 28 year old woman make the Jets team as a kicker?

response: "There are some on this board who feel homosexual
players sharing a locker room with heterosexual players is
perfectly ok"

b. please explain the logic of your position

2. Now you haven't gone as far as to commit to your opinion on whether homosexual men should be treated like heterosexual men, but the statement "There are some on this board who feel homosexual players sharing a locker room with heterosexual players is perfectly ok" speaks volumes.

3. Finally, the belief that a particular group of men (based solely on their sexual orientation) should be segregated from other men is the definition of bigotry. And an opinion that mirrors arguments made by previous segregationists.

Looks like she's saying she hurt her quad's preparing for this tryout, but tried to play through the pain anyways. This was obviously a publicity stunt, as per the original article, she was invited to try out, having never kicked a football (the article says having only ever kicked a soccer ball, making the inverse true). It worked out horribly. That's what you get when you put all your publicity eggs in one basket.
