Ball state had their weekend series versus Morehead State rained out....they rescheduled a 2-game dblhder with them yesterday at Wofford's stadium in Spartanburg (probably due to Ball St. playing us in Columbia today & tomorrow, & Morehead State scheduled to play Youngstown St. today in Gastonia, NC for some reason).
There was a slight chance that had that dblhder yesterday not pan out, then we'd be facing Ball State's top 2 weekend pitchers, who are a combined 4-0 with sub-3.00 ERAs. Some mid-week opponents still often shuffle their weekend starters to face our mid-week guys, to try to get wins, even if their previous weekend slate wasn't rained out. In either case, they played Morehead St. yesterday, and went 2-0. Their two top guys pitched about 7 innings each, so they are probably out for our games. The only two other pitchers they have who have started thus far this season both have ERAs north of 10.00...

Some clouds are starting to roll in but the temp is still at 64.7 degrees. I can't really see the horizon well from my apartment, though, so there could be a line coming. I'm about 1/2 mile from the stadium so take it FWIW
Also, after looking at the radar, it looks like the system is locking in to Columbia somehow. Appears to be on a track to get here around game time. If the main cells can dissipate I would [optimistically] guess that we might just get a delay. Hopefully it will stall and rain out or something.

Nice here in Columbia for now, but Weather Channel on my phone says 50% chance of rain at 7:00 and 60% chance at 8:00. Hopefully it holds off.

For your information the rain cell took about an hour to move through here (Marietta, Ga.) and then the sun came out. If it gets to you at 7 it should be gone by 8. Hope you get the game in. GO COCKS!!!!

Significant amount of clouds have come in and basically are covering the sky. It has gotten windier and the temperature has dropped 2 degrees. It looks a bit gloomy out now and also looks like the rain could start any minute.

At the rate this storm system is moving, a delay-only could be the prognosis. Looks to be potentially breaking up in concordance with the line to Columbia.
