Well Floyd, everyone on here has the right to his opinion.yours is just flawed...since I moved to the upstate ,I depend on Spurticus & C2 for info. Other than stats ,thier reports are filled with opinions. wrong #`s. wrong names. But these guys go outta thier way, to keep us that cant be there caught up the best they can.FOR FREE..

I have learned almost all I know about football from Spurt and Cover2. Others help, also. I now know more than my husband that used to play! It drives him crazy.

I know some here, not saying you because I don't know, are butt hurt from Spurt since he's a mod and has to bring the ban hammer down sometimes, but his practice reports are FAR beyond "play by play".

This man goes out to the practice field, FOR FREE, and writes up his opinions, FOR FREE, so that some of us can get a feel of the team that aren't able to do so. He voices his opinion on the team, players, and coaches, that are a lot of times dead on. He tells you if he believes a player isn't give 100%, if they look injured, if they're showing out as a true freshman and battling for a position on the depth chart, and more times than not what he posts about in the Spring and Fall ... turn out to be truth during the season.

To keep from making a Spurticus lenght post myself, I will end it there, but that doesn't even touch the surface of what he does and how good he is at evaluating the whole team.

Some people allow their dislike for him to cloud their opinions on his practice reports, and that's just a shame.

I agree 100% with your post! Spurticus does a hell of a job and if some find fault with it then they need to just move on! Keep up the good work Spurticus and we all appreciate your efforts!

You can't make everyone happy but Spurticus your reports make an awful lot of overseas GAMECOCKS very happy. Looking forward to making a few spring reports this year but when I could not I was happy to get what I could from Spurticus. I was a prick when I did not always agree with Spurt when I first came to Cockytalk and treated him like a reporter not a fan doing us all a favor and for this I apologize. I can tell you the Spurticus spring practice report threads are something I look forward to every year now, thanks again Spurticus!

I've said it here before but the main reason I continued to do the practice
reports after I did the very first one was because I got a couple of PMs
from Gamecock fans stationed in the Middle east. They told me they
appreciated the information about the Gamecocks and wanted to know if
I'd consider doing them more often. ... My oldest son served in the Marines
at that time, and had been stationed in Kuwait prior to the initial US
involvement in Iraq. He went through the first wave of invasion and My
wife and I wrote letters to him often. He wanted me to include stuff
about the Gamecocks and how they were doing etc..

Having a son go through that puts a whole different light on it when you
are asked to keep our Military Gamecock fans informed as to how they're
doing during practice. Along with the PMs I got from out of state fans I
felt very honored to do the updates from practice for those fans and our
servicemen.

More than happy to do these whenever I can get out to the practice
field. Stay safe GC. Thanx again for all you guys do over there.

Thank your son for his service and give him a hoorah, it is an honor to be mentioned in the same breath as any of our men and women in the US Armed Forces. I was not in the military but supported them by ensuring they had safe electricity, safe water, hot meals, cable, the internet and as many comforts as the American tax dollar would allow under the contract I was working. Thank you for your time and insight, to serve those young men and women was my pleasure!
