This 40 time really comes as no surprise to anyone involved in SCHSL track & field. Jadeveon was the anchor leg of South Pointe's 4x100 meter relay. I had the pleasure of watching the South Pointe 4x100 squad in person at the 2011 state championships, and Clowney can really move it. Props to the poster that can dig up the video of that race, because it is something to see. During his anchor leg, he extends his squad's lead on every other school in the race, outside of Dreher (Brandon Sanders ran their 4th leg, and is a current Gamecock that you may very well see in the Olympics one day).
On a side note, I actually bumped into Jadeveon in the infield of the track while doing pre-race warm-ups for my own race. I had my head down looking at the ground as I jogged laps, and physically ran into him near the shot-put ring. Needless to say, I came close to falling down upon contact. Luckily, I only ran into his side and brushed him, avoiding a full-body blow haha. We laughed it off and said a few words. As you would expect, he was HUGE as a high school senior, so I can see why he is a bit imposing after a few years in an SEC weight room

He's just as quick as Sanders through the 40 I would say, Sanders just has a much higher top end. |

According to Clowney in interview at practice he is currently 273lbs and ran a 4.54.
Which is basically Nuke Hopkins speed.
