The way Shaw plays, he is injury prone. He should be the starter of all games if health. I do however think Dylan is better for the passing game, Connor's speed in the read option is very dangerous though.

I pray conners foot will heal.He kept playing on it when he shouldn`t have. Those of you that have had these type of injuries know it takes a while to heal, and are prone to complications for years. He is such a gammer.I feel he was afraid he would lose his spot and rightfully so .It was a bad choice. If he would have dealt with the injury after it occured he would have been better off in the long run.Also would of had a chance to regain his spot next season.Hope IT doesn`t flair up this season.Like a true Gamecock he will fight to the death.You could see the pain he was in but wouldn`t quit

I also worry that he will not remain healthy. It seems that he is prone to re-injuring his foot. The shoulder is probably fine. I wish that he had given it time to heal rather than playing against Wofford.

How did he hurt his foot again? I can't remember if It was contact related or if he just tweaked it. I remember a tweet about the under armour cleats constantly busting that was related to possible freak foot injuries springing up on different players.

If you look at how the 49ers use Kaepernick: The threat of the run is there, but because of that they actually averaged less rushing yards per game than they did with Alex Smith and threw for much more yards per game once he was named the starter. I think if Shaw can evolve into a little bit better passer, the sky is the limit for this offense with him at QB. I think many times he knows where to go with the ball, but just trusts his feet over his arm and coaches are ok with letting him do that because it gets first downs and puts the defense in a bind.

If we can find a way to balance Shaw's running ability (still a passing threat though) and Thompson's ability to not only just check down but take his steps and hit the intermediate routes/ over the middle, combined with a steady run game from Davis/Wilds/Carson we'll be fine on offense. I'm under the impression that will be what Spurrier decides to do this season unless one QB really separates themselves as the starter.

Players trust coaches in knowing they can't lose their spot to an injury. He's just a gamer and wanted to help the team. Which is probably why Dylan started the Clemson game. Shaw wasn't able to practice until later in the week and we saw how the injury was effecting him in the Wofford game, but coaches and Shaw as well trusted Thompson to go in and do well in that situation which says a lot in my opinion. I truly believe him and Dylan are on the same page. No ego involved with these guys and if the 2 can go I think it's a big advantage.
