I know their pitcher Tyler Smith that started last night for Rider is probably good enough to start for any SEC team.....

But also keep in mind, that Ray Tanner himself thought that we may have a down year in 2010...... and we ALL know how that turned out!

Bottom line, it is way to early to make any long term judgements about this team..... having said that, I like what I have seen so far!

Well, I've said it about 4 times. He can't throw his nastiest pitch because we have Rosenberg in catching for him so that Greiner gets a break. And Dante doesn't have the reach for Colby's best slider. It's not that Rosenberg isn't a great defensive catcher, he is. He could handle every pitch of every other pitcher we have just fine. It's just that Holmes's best slider will look like a strike than go almost to the dugout. And Holmes knows this so he doesn't throw it with Rosenberg back there and when he does throw the slider he reduces the break. Switch Holmes to Sunday so that Greiner catches for him and he will be lights out. That is the next possibility for a tweak we might make imo.

I think our ideal rotation would be (just my observation): Friday - Montgomery with Greiner, Saturday - Belcher with Rosenberg, Sunday - Holmes with Greiner.

Alright Rooster ! Your scenario suggests that Holbrook doesn't have a clue. Why would Colby not throw his best pitch, and would he not say something to Meyers ? You suggest something that doesn't seem plausible to me.

Colby threw plenty of sliders today but when he isn't hitting his spots he's going to get beat around a little bit. I don't think there's anything wrong with the way Rosenberg catches he has good range and form and now that his bat is coming around he's going to be playing much more than I anticipated. I'm glad somebody brought up Brady Thomas he was the definition of clutch

Damn Chad was pissed after this game. Watch the press conference and you can tell he is about to explode on someone. He said "I don't understand why one of our kids can't bunt" "I was infuriated" and then he had to stop himself from blowing up and just ended the press conference after that.
