And we would have to play Tennessee with only a 14 hour turnaround. Realignment is ruining these tournaments. Some teams for an upset run to the NCAA tourney would have to play 5 games to win the tournament, others only 3 games. I miss the days when conference tourneys were 3 days long and all teams played each round.

Anyway, a win against MSU is doable and 15th win is a decent way to end what we knew was going to be a horrible season.

That is what happens when you have LOTS of teams in a conference, and try to put all of them in the conference tournament.

How would dropping it back to 12 help? There would still be only 8 teams playing day 1. If they lined up the teams top to bottom, we'd been playing Bama or someone and have no chance of winning. At least in this format, we have a winnable game.

Indeed, we'll need total focus just to win one. I'm more concerned with the wins and losses on the recruiting trail at this point.
