The best answer is both. We are currently recruiting him as a LB but wouldn't be shocked if he grew to the point where he played with his hand on the ground later in his career.

Visited Alabama unofficially again. Said after the visit that Carolina still lead, but practically implied that the only reason for that is because we were the first to offer. Going to be extremely hard to keep that up if that is our best selling point.

Everyone should have known this was going to happen. Saban, etc aren't just going to sit around and let this kid go to SC without a fight.

He also has a great relationship with Coach Ward. His mom really likes coach Ward and USC as well. I dont think that being the first to offer BAW is the only reason we lead.

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those situations where the kid will ultimately end up at Carolina, but wants to enjoy seeing what other schools have to offer and might very well take till signing day to announce, but no matter what South Carolina will still be his destination. Kinda like Lattimore or Clowney, or even this year with David Williams.

It's going to be a war between the recruiters for top prep talent, like it always is every cycle. We're becoming more prominent with more elite talent across the board, so we're wading straight into those wars. We better be ready to battle head-to-head if we want to have a chance with many of the prospects: those other programs will do their best to overwhelm the kids...

I highly doubt the fanbase worrying about recruiting is going to impact how the recruiting goes, one way or another....

I'd be surprised if we don't get him back to USC several times....starting with a spring scrimmage or the spring game....

He is not coming to the spring game instead he is coming down on the 23rd of April. This is only the beginning for BAW we gotta stay on him if not we won't get him.

Allen-Williams already claims offers from nearly every school in the Southeastern Conference. Will it be a battle between Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier for Bryson Allen-Williams?

According to the four-star outside linebacker from Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, right now that's how things are shaping up.

The Gamecocks lead, but Alabama is next.

And the Tide seems to be rising a bit.

Allen-Williams visited Alabama on Saturday and showed up at Sunday's VTO Sports Prep 100 Georgia event at Peachtree Ridge High School sporting Alabama gear.

"It went great [in Tuscaloosa, Ala.], " Allen-Williams told 247Sports.

While at Alabama, Allen-Williams spent a good bit of time with Saban and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart, he said. One highlight -- his grandmother, who "loves Alabama" got to meet Saban.

"I really like it," Allen-Williams said. "That's why it's my second school."
Admittedly, making a decision is "getting harder and harder," but the Gamecocks could be difficult to beat out.

LB Bryson Allen-Williams of Ellenwood, GA will continue his spring tour of schools Saturday when he visits Tennessee. He also has been to USC, Alabama and Georgia and he plans to get to Clemson soon. He will return to USC later this month for another junior day. Allen-Williams has a top ten of USC, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan, Auburn, Arkansas, Wisconsin and NC State. And that's the order for now. "It might change as I develop relationships with new coaches," he said. "I like Florida State a lot and they could slide in." Clemson is another school to watch for. "I've developed a good relationship with coach Hobby and coach Venables," he said. "They are hitting me up hard and I really like Clemson." Allen-Williams said USC recruiter Lorenzo Ward is in touch with him every day. "He talks a lot to my mom on Facebook," he said. Allen-Williams had set August 9th for a decision but it might not happen then. "It's getting pretty hard," he said. "I don't want to rush anything."

Allen-Williams measured in at 6-foot-1, 220 pounds and worked out at linebacker, the position he likely will play in college. Allen-Williams won the linebacker MVP, was good in space covering running backs during one-on-ones and displayed the type of quickness that makes him the nation’s No. 16 outside linebacker prospect according to 247Sports. On the recruiting end, South Carolina still leads Alabama and Arizona was his most recent offer on Monday.
