yea he was caught stealing on a HORRIBLE call. put it this way, he was tagged on the helmet sliding head first and still called out. It was bad

Yeah, but he has been less than stellar at the plate. He is coming along, but I wouldn't say he is a monster just yet.

He will be a good backup this year, but I don't see him cracking the starting lineup consistently once English is back from injury.

Shon was 1 for 3 today. In 7 games (3 starts), Shon is 3 for 11 (.273) with an RBI and 4 runs. He has gotten all 3 of his hits in the last 2 games (3 for 7, .429). He has 1 steal in 3 attempts.

Both Shon and Tanner are arguably our fastest players on the baseball team. Combined they are 3 for 8 in base steal attempts (.375). The rest of the team has 18 steals in 21 attempts (.857)...

Liberty definitely didn't sweep UGA, I don't know what Slater meant by that.

But, they have still been fairly solid. They are 10-5 now, with a series win against Penn State and a 14-4 win over East Carolina.

Some of our other wins are looking better too. I think I remember seeing on Twitter that Darryl Slater and/or John Whittle said Furman was a bad team so I just believed them. But they are now 12-4 with series wins over Michigan State, Elon, Appalachian State, and a 2 game sweep @ Coastal Carolina.

And Clemson taking 2 of 3 from #12 NC State on the road make our series win look better, even if it does come at the cost of Clemson winning.

Considering the non-conference schedule is void of any ranked teams, there are at least some solid series in there that will have helped prepare for the SEC grind. Hopefully the teams like Liberty and Rider keep playing well throughout the season and help our numbers going forward.

I still like all the base running aggressiveness and attempting to speed things up a little. This will come in handy later in the season. We are still winning games with people being thrown out, so that's not a huge concern yet.

Shon will continue to get better as he plays more.
