And done-zo. Update completed (save for the handful of errors that are found later, which I encourage y'all not to be shy and let me know). I've included in this post a review of some of the updates that are noted. I picked the ones that showed the most dramatic change.

(Some) of What’s New:

- Added Poona Ford and Darin Smalls
- Kevin Crosby dropped Alabama from a “warm” to a “cool,” with Florida seeming to take Bama’s place.
- Terry Googer adds UNC to the mix of “warm” interest.
- Derrell Scott has had an interesting shakeup. USC is no longer a red-ink favorite, but still has an interest rating higher than all the others at the top. Also, he went from having FSU and OSU tied 2nd, but now the tied-for-2nd also includes Clemson, ND, and Tenn, but drops FSU.
- Dexter Wideman now lists USC even higher as a red-ink “Favorite”
- B-AW adds Michigan to his 2nds list, and unfortunately no longer lists USC as a red-ink favorite, but still has USC alone at the top.
- Bentley Spain promotes USC to alone at the top
- Drew Barker - lots changed. Previously had just USC, UK and OSU tied at the top. OSU drops from that, and in comes Louisville, UNC, Tenn and Vandy in the six-way-tie.
- Naquez Pringle makes a big jump in our favor. Previously was USC and Clemson tied at the top. FSU, OSU and Arky tied at 2nd. NOW: USC is a red-ink “Favorite” with Clemson a distant 2nd. Wewt!
- Peyton Newell - Bit of a change-up. Went from USC, Kansas, KSU, NC State, and Nebraska tied at the top, but now it’s only Nebraska and USC tied at the top and the previous remaining front-runners are tied 2nd.
- Christian Miller committed to Florida. Old news.
- Blake Bone’s rating dropped from #71 WR to #91.


A Nugget of Perspective: We have two bookends on D-line, ranked 8 and 12 in their position, listing USC as red-ink favorites. Boom-yow!

Paul Strelow, until recently with the UNC 247 site, implied Bentley Spain might be announcing soon for the Gamecocks. He posted the early April visit to UNC for Spain, but I think Strelow thought it might not happen.

Lots of names flying around, but the numbers can't work out this year. Clowney will leave early, we have 4 Seniors, and 3 available scholarships. So, if 2-4 kids transfer or otherwise leave, and 1-3 don't qualify, we will have between 11-15 scholarships available. I could see another 1 or 2 leaving, but placing Vickers offsets this...am I on drugs or is this accurate?

With all the talented players in South Carolina(although some feel the numbers are still down), you will see a lot of interest from out of state schools. There will be some battles as the kids receive more offers. I think it will be a snooze, you lose year for some players, and others will be just plain disappointed.

Each recruit has a different story and each one must be viewed separately. It's not as easy as you want to make it.
