Here you go...he is one of the Louisville Slugger National Players of the Week...
"LOUISVILLE SLUGGER'S" NATIONAL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK RHP Frankie Vanderka, Stony Brook: Vanderka tossed his second career no-hitter during a nine inning, 2-0 win over Fordham. He struck out six and faced only four batters over the minimum. He also pitched a no-hitter as a freshman during the 2011 season at New Jersey Institute of Technology. OF/1B Ben Verlander, Old Dominion: Verlander hit four homers and collected 9 RBI over four games last week as he went 7-for-11 at the plate. In one game against Northeastern, he went 4-for-4 with three home runs, including a grand slam, and tallied seven RBI. He tied the school record for most homers in a single game during the contest. RHP Mark Appel, Stanford: Appel struck out a career-high 15 UNLV batters and walked one over seven innings. He allowed four hits and one earned run during a 3-2 loss. Three of Appel’s strikeouts came in the second inning when UNLV scored its first two runs. The Cardinal committed three errors in the frame which led to unearned runs to snap Appel's streak of 18 2/3 innings without giving up a run. SS Joey Pankake, South Carolina: Pankake belted four homers, scored seven runs and knocked in nine runs for the Gamecocks last week over five games as he hit .438 (7-for-16).
