If the rumors that C2 mentioned were accurate, the staff was not going to accept his commitment and that may have played out behind the scenes. I think that turning him down because we're hoping for commitments from comparable out of state guys is a bad idea for a variety of reasons, but I'm going to stop posting in this thread before I start sounding like the guy with the Quinshad obsession.

since we have very very limited spots in this class and a ton of prospects interested we can pick and choose there is no high horse here

I hope you're right. I really think at this point they feel very good about one of the elite DE.....if that's the case they will wait as long as they can before accepting a commit.

Hopefully this cycle we can afford to pick and choose the very best prospects we feel will fit our team....we are in great shape with MANY top prospects, but can only take but so many. My position is if we can only take 2-3 DL, and we are in great shape with 6-7 highly rated DL, then whichever 2-3 we ultimately take will still be great gets for us. Same with every other position...

I'd only be concerned if we had few high-regarded prospects interested in us, and we were going to haul in a 30-prospect class or something. In that case, you don't want to lose any of the top kids, because there'll be no one else left behind him that is top-notch. I doubt we'll have any issues with our class once it's completed...

And yes I know, I'm talking about this site, lol. But still.....

From what many are saying, we're taking up to 5 DL in this class. 3 DE's & 2 DT's or vice versa. There's no way we can only take 3 DL in this class with 2 DE's leaving after this year.

When there are 2 other instate 4* kids at his position this year. How does that not make sense to you? Also with that reasoning we should have gone hard after Christian Miller and should be pursuing Jacob Park.

To add to this we are also in play with 5* Da'shawn Hand and Lorenzo Carter (maybe high 4*). Combine that with the fact that we have lower numbers to take this class that is why we have to be absolutely sure in who we take and cannot just "settle" for someone. I think Pringle is a nice talent, but we are after perhaps a little bit better talent.
