I'm not sure of the exact number, but Netflix streaming can be running on several different devices at the same time.

Depends on your internet I think. I've done it plenty of times without a problem.

I've never had a problem with it. I've had it running on 4 different devices at 3 different locations before.

I would be using two laptops to run it on a wireless router, so any information would be helpful. Considering dropping down to certain basics with satellite in order to save money

When I've visited my folks I've used it on my laptop while my dad used it on his and we didn't have any problems. Even the lowest level of high speed internet should be able to handle two streaming on laptops.

But really, as long as you don't want to have your Netflix stream in the best HD at all times, it shouldn't matter. Just my experience.. I'm not well-versed in the subject other than that. |

Did the same thing. Like others have said, it depend on your internet speed. I have Time Warner Cable and almost nightly I'm watching something on Netflix downstairs while the wife watches something on the iPad upstairs. Never any issues. Also, I typically run netflix from my macbook pro through my TV and there is zero delay and just barely sub-par HD quality. Very much worth the $8 bucks a month or whatever it is.

Just FYI - Netflix runs on all of the major gaming systems. So if you have an Xbox 360, Wii, or PS3 - you can stream netflix to that TV. Many blu-ray players and now 'smart' tvs have netflix and wifi built in for your streaming convenience also.
My wife can stream on her ipad, I can stream on my phone (only do this with wifi, the data usage is pretty high). If you're cutting down on TV, I would recommend getting a Hulu+ account. You can watch current TV shows, the day after they air. |

U should be good. I would drop all TV channels totally and get some HD rabbit ears and rock the netflix but football has me by the gonads.

All depends on your Internet connection. We can typically stream two programs at once. Have never tried three.

Never had a problem with it before, with my kid streaming a show on the Wii, me on a laptop and my wife streaming on an Ipod all at once.

Need more info, what's the "basic" speed? I have a coworker with 1Mx1M and it works fine for one device as long as nobody else is doing anything that draws much bandwidth, however the pic starts to degrade once someone else starts using the inet (Netflix constantly adjusts the bandwidth (pic quality) to your speed). Downside is that if your ISP and Netflix enable you to stream netflix's "super hd" stuff (1080/bluray quality) it draws a constant 4-6M throughput...so if the basic speed is slower than that, that's out. I want to say Netflix requires at least 400k download to work, don't remember for sure, I have my ISP's "basic" Internet, but it is 10Mx1M....it's no problem with that speed to stream something in super hd thru the bluray player, watch YouTube videos/Netflix on an iPad, and surf the web on another iPad/laptop...

Speaking of Netflix, who has seen the movie Street Thief on Netflix?
