Last night I was streaming Netflix while having 2 desktops and an iPad running. My desktop had 3 browsers with a total of around 50 tabs open. We had no slowdowns. We have mid range Uverse broadband.

What shows do you and the wife "make it a point" not to miss? I ask because we cut out cable a few months ago and use Netflix and an antenna (we get abc, CBS, NBC, fox, cw, and PBS over the air) I can maybe point you towards some sites that have streaming video for shows, for example CBS's website (ony the full website, meaning you have to view it on a pc) has the two or three most current episodes of all their shows availible to stream for free...A&e has an ap where you can watch the current seasons shows for free exc...

My mom uses my account in Augusta, GA and my brother uses it in Charleston, SC. I live in Tampa, FL and run it on 3 devices (PS3, PC, and my girl sometimes on her iPad). We have FiOS, which I admit, is pretty damn fast.
To me, Netflix is a no-brainer and I don't see why everyone doesn't have it...especially in comparison to paying for an additional package on your cable/satellite service for movie channels. $8 a month, ya know? We are getting unlimited Redbox streaming next week for $7 a month, too.

Depending on your DL speeds, the only problem I could see is the quality of the streams might not reach their potential clarity, meaning it might not get to the highest level of HD.
What do device do people think has the best Netflix app? I have Netflix on my iPad, laptop, PS3, Smart tv, and a Roku. Out of all these I think my PS3 has the best user interface. Everything loads much quicker on my PS3 than the Smart tv or Roku. |

The way that Neftfilix buffers before it loads, we've had no problems watching multiple movies on different devices simultaneously. Our main tv is a Sharp with wifi and our other tvs are connected through Sony blurays. There are only three of us, so we've had three different shows streaming at once with no issues. My son is 10, and he loves Netflix because of all the older cartoons and super hero movies. They also have complete seasons of recent Nickolodeon shows. Complete seasons of shows I like from the History Channel make their way fairly quickly to Netflix. If it wasn't for sports, I would have cancelled satellite TV a long time ago.
I like connecting my iPad to the TV to watch college baseball and since it is a live stream, it will freeze if anyone is watching Netflix. If I can't make it to a USC game, my son has to deal with no Neflix for two hours. As far as normal surfing goes, my son can watch Netflix in his room, my husband can watch in the living room, and I can surf on my iPad without detecting a difference. |

Netflix recently struck a long term deal with Disney so they are getting tons of Disney stuff on there. By sometime next year they will get exclusive rights to Disney movies after they come out of theaters.

ESPN is the major drawback for cutting cable for sports fans. There are ways to get it online but its a pain in the ass and not the best quality.
