It would be nice, but we will have to wait and see. I think he is the best safety in the draft but most analysts have a few ahead of him.

I don't think this guy is extremely reliable. He has Fisher and Mingo at 1 and 2...with Joeckel at 7. Seems rather suspect to me.

I saw recently that Mel Kiper, Jr. took him off his top 5 safties (Never liked that clown!)

Swearinger is definitely one of if not the best safety in this draft, Scouts are caught up on his size/speed, but he has the same speed as Bernard Pollard, saem size as Ed Reed, and has outstanding leaping and ball skills. No need to mention his hitting on a Gamecock site (Or a Clemson site!!)

IDK why he shouldn't be considered in the first round, early second round at worst- you can't teach his instincts and hitting ability!!!

Kiper knows about as much about NFL drafts as he does about fornicating (very little).

Swearinger is just a good old fashion Football player which some of these experts ignore at times.

Josh Norris has been on the Swearinger bandwagon for a while. He's much higher on him than most of the other draft 'analysts'.

Don't think Swearinger ends up in the first round, though clearly there are people out there that think he's worthy of a late 1st or early 2nd. Just needs one team to be of that mindset.

My understanding is that many NFL coaches are just now watching game film of this year's class as they are busy coaching during the season, and we all know that Swag has some great game film. There could be some head coaches telling their draft scouts to make Swearinger their priority at safety. Same reason that EJ Manual has apparently moved up on some of the qb draft boards.

I don't see him going that early... I have only seen things about Vacarro and possibly Cyphren (sp) going in the first round

I would love for my Redskins to take him with their 2nd round pick. We need all the secondary help we can get but a few mock drafts have us taking Matt Elam with that pick. If DJ is moving up draft boards I could see the Skins taking him with their 2nd round pick.

Its rare safeties go in the first round, i dont think any were taken last year. He isnt even the best in his class (most have matt elam and reid ahead of him), 3rd round proj.

DJ doesn't possess 1st round speed. I'd say late 2nd at best, but likely 3rd-4th round.

I believe Mark Barron was a 1st rounder last year
