I can't take anybody seriously that talks about soccer with a photo of Christiano Ronaldo as their signature. Biggest p***y in professional sports.

again, I can say all football and baseball players are fat, that will make me dumb and ignorant too.

Apparently this injury makes basketball as manly as soccer.

Why is it that no other fan of any other sport really ever feels the need to defend whether or not said sport is "manly" or the best sport? Who cares if you like soccer then great, if you don't then that's great too. Soccer is a physical sport, compared to basketball it is not. Imagine the reaction you would get from one of those guys if Lebron came charging into them?

Thats just called a severe case of A.D.D.

If you cant keep up with the play by play action that happens in a baseball game it probably means that your either A) retarded or B) retarded

You complain about people ripping on your sport and rip on other sports. Just turn your channel to whatever you want to watch and let others enjoy their sport. At least baseball doesn't end in a tie, and you cant hold the ball and wait to get bailed out by a whistle.

I don't know why, based on his comment, you would assume he can't keep up with the action in baseball. Do you only dislike watching things you are unable to follow?

we all have things that we dont like about other sports.

I hate time outs in football.

I cant watch basketball, they stop the game every 15 seconds.

I dont really watch baseball, doesnt mean I hate it, is just no fun to watch, I wouldnt mind throwing and batting but I do find the game boring unless you are the pitcher or the batter.

anyway, soccer will always be my number one followed by football, then basketball, then someday I may find baseball fun to watch, no for now, is just very slow, golf or nascar? i could never sit there wand watch it for a while.

I will practice any of them at any day thought.

Sorry to jump in late here, but I couldn't let this one slide. As a guy who has played soccer, football, and basketball at the high school level, I can say that soccer holds its own and, at times, exceeds even football in its physicality. For reference, here is a study published by USA today of injury rates in various sports.

Soccer is the worst sport to watch other than hockey.. BY FAR

Players are prima donnas and flop all the time, the clock always runs, and scoring is rare.

Baseball is 100000x better

I can appreciate that point of view. I enjoy soccer for the flow of the game, which is something other sports can't match. Sports are kinda like booze - everyone drinks something different for their own reasons, but at the end of the night, we're all hammered.

Sports are kinda like booze... in that I don't know how to control myself and my obsession with both has ruined every position relationship in my life

So how does diving fix the problem of teams having less injuries. That doesn't make sense. It's two separate issues. I haven't seen any one complaining about valid fouls being called. Also, the fact that touching the player with the ball is a foul is what makes it a sport the sport not very manly. That and the fact that about 30% of the time that fouls are called the players aren't even touched.

I think diving actually perpetuates injuries in the long run. In my mind, tons of players diving makes refs less likely to whistle excessively rough play, as the line between reality and put-on has been blurred. As whistles become more lax, injuries occur more often as a result.

So is he saying that diving is just a side effect of tighter calling because they are trying to prevent injuries? If that is the case and it actually does prevent injuries, which I don't really know and am skeptical. It doesn't make the sport better. On one had it sucked because you had too many injuries, now it sucks because you have too many people diving because the refs actually give them calls and they get free kicks and penalty shots and have goals taken away and players taken out of the game. Either way it sucks.
