We are competing right now and that's all we can do, it would be huge if we can get a W today. I am planning on getting down there for the UK weekend. Honestly, I don't know what to expect from the rest of the season but I am excited the girls are competing and that the team seems to be improving. I would consider this year a success if we ended up making the NCAA tournament.

The most exciting thing about the program is this, our talent level is getting better and the program is on the rise. Good things are coming from this program and it won't be long until it happens.

It was a tie ball game with runners on 2nd and 3rd but our pitcher Howser fielded a routine ball hit to the mound and threw it about 10 feet above the first baseman and Bama scored two more runs to make it 4-2 Bama now.

The girls ended up coming back and losing 7-6. Made it way more competitive and Alabama re entered Jackie Traina, that is the reason they won.

When the count went to 1-0 (after the illegal pitch call) and they decided to go back to Traina, I wouldn't have minded seeing Yeske reenter and bat . I don't think there is any rule against it . Yeske had a home run off Traina Friday night . Got to feel like she would have been more confident than someone getting their first at-bat of the weekend .
Needed one more baserunner to get Samie back up .

Edit -I just realized something . We had already taken Gonzales out for the second time , so Lawrence had to stay in to possibly catch in the 8th .

Yea, I believe Lawrence would've got a hit off of Jury but it was when Traina came in you could almost feel Lawrence's confidence go down a little bit. All in all, it wasn't that bad of a weekend and this team is improving. Just wondering, what is the latest on Bizzell? I know she is hurt but she was probably the most hyped of all the recruits coming in.

I will be down there for the Kentucky series, hopefully the stadium is completely finished by then or something.

I don't know what kind of injury Bizzell has . I thought Marks was the most hyped of the recruits . I didn't notice any extra hype for any of the in-state recruits . I posted some when Bizzell's Hartsville team beat Carly Hoover to win the state championship . Maybe that's what you're thinking of .

There’s a home clubhouse, two suites, a full press box, and a concourse at the top of the seating area that allows the fans to watch the game from anywhere in the stadium.
Another attractive feature is a pedestrian bridge that runs from the new Rice Center in the Athletics Village to the entrance of the stadium.
Alabama coach Patrick Murphy, who has taken his team to eight Women’s College World Series appearances, came away impressed with the stadium as well as relieved that his fourth-ranked Crimson Tide (24-3) survived for the win.
“It’s really cool to see a school put their resources behind the sport of softball,” Murphy said. “We’ve sold over 2,700 season tickets to softball, and they can do the same thing here. They’re going to get better and better. This is Bev’s best team that we’ve faced. The potential is here, the support is here now, and the facility is going to be awesome.”
