Not to bump an old thread for nothing - just wanted to make sure sriracha lovers knew that Lays makes a sriracha flavored chip now.
They came out with 3 new flavors, sriracha, chicken and waffles, cheesy garlic bread. You're supposed to go on facebook and vote for the best flavor. I bought a small bag of all three before going to my in-laws for dinner one night so everyone in the fam could try them. Sriracha were too spicy for most of my family (not heat freaks) but they were far an away the best flavor. |

I bought some of this stuff the other weekend for the first time when I was making some Bang Bang Shrimp. The sauce isn't bad at all. I am not a spicey person, so about 7 good drops in the recipe was plenty enough for my wife and I.

This is the only hot sauce that I like. I'm not exactly a fan of spicy food, even though I'm trying to get into it and hope that I build a tolerance to enjoy a little level of spiciness. I found that Sriracha has the right level of kick for me and it actually has flavor. I found it odd that the chips tasted hotter than the sauce did; at least to me they did. I don't get how people can eat stuff and slather it with the hottest of hot sauces they can find. Anytime my friends eat like that, they don't look like they enjoy eating. I enjoy eating.

Sriracha lovers,
you need to order this on amazon  It's similar to the bean paste they serve at Blue Cactus on Greene St. This, fish sauce, and some brown sugar makes as insane base for stir fry. A little lime and cilantro and mung bean to finish it off.
