I just started watching the Prison Break series last night on Netflix and so far I like it. I know some on here have watched the entire series. I just want to know if I will be disappointed watching the whole series? Does it end in a way that makes sense, or was it a stupid ending like Lost or The Sopranos?
I don't want spoilers, just a general comment if you thought the series ended well. |

the ending was forced
honestly, think about it...a tv series about a prison break that lasts more than 1 or 2 seasons? i enjoyed it and watched till the end, but after the finale, i was left feeling like something was missing. |

I really enjoyed the 1st season. The second was still good. After that it really dropped off and I considered dropping the show altogether but before I did, the announcement of the series ending came so I stuck it out to the finale, which I recall wasn't all that great.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will keep on watching and see what happens. I was wondering how they were going to stretch it out so many seasons though.
Come on Berry, you can't think Lost ended that great. I never missed an episode when it aired originally, but the whole alternate reality thing was stupid. I still liked the series as a whole though. |

Lost and Sopranos have good endings if you follow what the director was intending. There's a long read on the finale of Sopranos that explains it *perfectly* and I've enjoyed it ever since reading the synopsis.
Please take the time to read it if you're a fan of the series. http://masterofsopranos.wordpress.co...on-of-the-end/ |

I watched everyone one of these. I loved the show. The first seasons were the best but then it went down hill. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable. Was great to be able to watch this and then 24.

i wouldnt say it got "heroes" bad, but someone else might. the 3rd and 4th seasons it just got a tad bit ridiculous with some of the action and the plot, but i think the style of the show and characters still made it entertaining.

My wife and I watched the first 3 seasons and started the 4th. I literally remember watching season 3 just to get it over with. Seasons 1 & 2 were good bit sometimes were a little bit much of a stretch. In season 3 it gets painfully slow and these "stretches" become so bad it's laughable. My wife forced me to finish Season 3 but even after a few episodes of Season 4 she said she couldn't take it anymore. I ended up reading about the ending and didn't regret one bit that we quit.
By the time season 3 rolls around, it's a totally different show than the 1st 2 seasons. |

So I guess I better watch the first couple of seasons of PB and then switch over to 24 since I never finished the 1st season of that show.
I was about to boycott PB anyway since the actress that plays Lori on The Walking Dead plays the prison doctor on PB. She annoyed me so much on TWD that I don't even want to look at her face on anything else that she does. |

This was one of my favorite shows of all time. The first season is epic. It does go downhill some but I enjoyed it all and stuck it out. When they get sent back to prison in Panama in season 3 or 4 it gets back to being great.

24 jumped the shark as well, as much as it pains me to admit it.
I don't want to say WHEN it did so, but if you've seen every season, you should know. |

I watched a ton of this show while I was on Spring Break and finished Seasons 1 and 2 and started season 3. I agree that at some points it does drag on and on. They probably could have cut about at least 5 episodes from each season if they sped it up a little bit.
I am just glad I got the chance to watch it all at once instead of week to week, because that would have driven me crazy having to wait to advance the storyline. I'm already about 3 episodes into season three and see where the story is going, but I will probably stick it out to finish the series. |
