And with the George Strait shows, you just don't see all those big names in one place like that. And those tickets weren't bad from what I remember given the show you were seeing. That was before concert tickets got insane. Carter Finley was the best concert I have been to. It was the first time I got to see George Strait. That's all I listened to growing up. And if I remember correctly, the show that Tim and Faith played at, Faith looked about 8 months pregnant. Can't remember if was in Carter Finley or Clemson.

I was at that concert. Awesome! I'll never get tired of their music.

Death Valley takes this one fairly easily IMO... I think these poll results are a combination of garnet glasses and people who just care more about country music than music as a whole.

Williams Brice is a holy land since it had the pleasure of having its walls graced by the beautiful music that is Metallica.
It's a automatic win already. Metallica > anything else. It's that awesome. Them you must be a lady |

I think this is when someone is supposed to post one of those memes that says "Not sure if serious..."

You just said Metallica is better than Pink Floyd, Stones, U2. I don't believe this belief is universal.

Haha I was being only 82% serious about it being universal. But they probably do have a lot more fans than the other around the globe. They toured nonstop around the world for like 5 years

i never understood the love affair with grateful dead. i wanted to like them since they had a diehard following. i still wonder what i missed in their music that everyone else seemed to get..they look like a bunch of dudes who basically goofed on everyone and made serious bank..i can picture jerry getting high and saying yo his mates " can you believe they like this shit".

I thought you were going to say Willie B is holy land because the pope was there... Sorry, but Metallica makes my head hurt. Give me the Stones, Pink Floyd, Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, the Dead anytime. Was anybody else in Columbia during the time that Hootie was playing Rockafellas and Greenstreets in 5 Points? We knew they were something special, even then.

Saw U2 in both places. Rage opened up in Clemson
Saw Paul McCarney at WB Pink Floyd at Death Valley. Overall as a concert venue, I hate to say it, but Death Valley is better IMO. though after the Pink Floyd Concert it took like 4 hours to get out of Clemson. The traffic is horrible as there are only like 2 roads leaving that town. I still kick myslef for not going to see Metallica GnR at WB. that was my freshman year and that was at the peak period for both bands.

I'm sort of surprised at these results because having Pink Floyd definitely tips the scale toward Death Valley... there are very few bands that are that amazing live... I saw them in 1989 on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour and it was incredible. Lots of garnet glasses on this one... either that or there are a whole lot of people who think Metallica in 1992 is better than Pink Floyd in 1994... which is not debatable

Saw U2 at the Brice, Public Enemy opened for them and at the end of their set, they hung a klansman in effigy. I will say that the bass from that shook the crap outa the stadium. Also saw the Stones there with I think Blind Melon opening, who sucked by the way because the lead singer was plastered. I remember going to an all-day concert in I think 95 at Bomber stadium to see Hootie and various other local/regional bands.
