Panthers offered Ted Ginn Jr a contract. I'd be happy with that as long as they didn't overpay.

Sounds like we will be overpaying either way... this is from the NFC South blog on ESPN.

"If the Panthers end up with the wide receiver/kick returner (Ginn Jr), it probably doesn’t bode well for the futures of Kealoha Pilares, Joe Adams and Armanti Edwards."

Out of those three guys I think Joe Adams has the most upside and can contribute the most.

Edwards and Pilares don't belong on the team anyway. Did they say what the offer to Ginn was?

Ted Ginn sucks as a WR, he might be the softest wide out in the league

Bears apparently have offered Captain to a 1 year deal. Panthers might match the offer on the table. Also can you imagine Urlacher and Kuechly on the same team?? Deadly!!

His return stats are good and if they sign him, it tells me A. Edwards is gone.

Bears love going after Panther players.

1 year contract? I wouldn't sign it unless it was for some insane amount.

Panthers are making moves in the secondary. This changes things in the draft I would assume.

i dont think so....i think we were going DT all the way......dont matter if you are good against the pass if you cant stop the run up the middle....which we cant

I figured DT first. I'm talking rounds 3-7 (Technically 4 because we don't have a 3rd round pick). Because I figure are taking a receiver in round 2

If we're going DT in the first round, then chances are we're going OL in the second round. 4th round might be a WR, but need to address the OL problems first. Cam won't be able to throw the ball to a WR if he doesn't have any time.

Not sure what he was thinking. I read he signed a 1-year deal with a little over $1 million. They offered him 3 year/$5 million earlier in the week. Either it was about guaranteed money or he needs to get a new agent.

Yeah, that's kinda nuts. Maybe he thinks he can show more value with another year of play, and be free to sign where he wants?

A lot of one yr contracts this year... But then again we don't have much money to offer.

Any idea what they paid him? I like the pick up since our return game sucks.
