I know why they do it but still dislike it. I think it's crap teams like unc and duke get home games when suppose to be neutral site games.

I'd rather have teams with bad losses like UVA and Maryland who actually have legit wins than a team who didn't play anyone so have inflated record. Mtsu in acc wouldn't have half the Maryland wins, which is why they shouldn't be put in.

Yep, Georgetown can join us, Arizona and Missouri as teams to lose as both 14s and 15s in the first round.

Meant kansas state not Kansas. They were 4 seed getting unfair advantage. Still think the idea is being on a neutral site who is better but in these first rounds they keep putting random schools overly close to their campus and it seems unfair. That teams like Duke and UNC can play entire first four games within state of NC is no fair to a team like Miami who might not play a single game within 8 hours of their school.

They try within reason to keep the 1-5 seeds close to home. With the Kansas City pod, you know that Kansas was getting one of those slots. Then it was probably between K-State, St. Louis, and Oklahoma State. While it's not perfect and can't be because the sites are predetermined, it beats when a conference would have two 1 seeds and one of the teams gets shipped across the country for the first two rounds.
