I hope so. Looking at the schedule next season, we'll face several teams that should be very good at running the football: Auburn, Georgia, Missouri, Florida. Assuming Manziel goes pro, we aren't facing many outstanding passing quarterbacks (at least not returning ones, anyway.) Hopefully, our secondary will have time to gel as a unit before they're tested through the air. (Of course, dbs still have to tackle in run support.)

Will we move any players to corner to fill the need?

This is what I am afraid of... especially if they bring strong safety guys to the corner position.. then we will be bare in both corner and safety.

In regards to the DL, it's worth mentioning that it appears Kalan Ritchie will get some time at DE when he gets on campus. Actually, GCC lists him as a DE commitment.

DE, followed closely by CB. Jhaustin Thomas coming in ready to play would be huge

There will be some dropoff at QB, DL, and CB. I'm optimistic that Thomas coming in will give us a solid DE group with Dix44, English (a little bigger), and possibly D Johnson as a run specialist, Harris as a rabbit. Lamin could be a needed force. Dix Jr, Dukes, Griffin, and Surratt are coming along. We might get a freshman ready to play some at DE.
LB should move forward with the improvement we've seen and with Bryant, Moore, Walton, and Holloman benefiting from off-season S&C. Hope Lewis gets it together. Worried about Cooper and Roberts. CB is a worry, even with some good prospects coming in - one has a knee injury, and one is a talented smurf. It may take a committee and a lot of help from improved spur and linebacker coverage.

DL is the big concern because Clowney and Quarles are our pass rushers. We are losing a huge part of our effectiveness on D. The two consecutive sacks by Clowney and Quarles shook the Tigers up and made a statement that USC was the dominant team. Tigers were helpless in all aspects of their game after those two big plays. I'll never forget those two consecutive pancakes.

The LB's played much better at the end of the season compared to the beginning. They obviously still have some improvement left, but they can be a really, really good unit next year. Moore was a steal (if a four star can be considered as such), Roberts played well at times, and Lewis came along towards the end of the season.

Our DL won't be as good, but I wouldn't really call that an area of concern. Improved LB play should help make up the difference.

Offense should be fine.
we only have 4 returning CB.....Christian, Martin, McWilliams and Groves.

Been said that Al Harris Jr. is actually a guy who may enroll early, and be in the mix as a freshman. Coaches very high on him, they think he has a chance to make an impact.

He tore his hamstring and didn't finish his season. Not sure how soon he will be ready to play.

We have a solid 3 deep at both safety spots. Elder, Brison, Marcus, Gurley, Moody, and Fleetwood. Plenty of depth there.

I think if anyone is moved to CB it will be Jamari moving back.

no way brison or marcus would move to corner. i dont think we would want to move elder because hes a prototypical free safety. gurley is built kind of like a corner but im not sure he had the lateral movement or quicks to play it even pre injury.

if nothing else im sure we'll test whoever we can there in the spring.

He is also, age-wise, a year younger than his class, from what I heard months ago. I think he is supposed to red-shirt.
