DT Abu Lamin; Can he replace Quarrels?

He guys, time to start thinking 2014 depth chart. We obviously have a need at DL.

JUCO transfer Abu Lamin. 6'5, 315 pounds, runs a 4.9 40.

Hes a 4-star recruit, and that video is HS. He's gotten taller, and spent 2 years in JUCO.

I put this hear, not in recruiting, because this guy needs to impact NOW, and wonder how you all think he'll fit.

Abu has some big shoes to fill. It will be a challenge that we'll have to wait and see. Spring should tell us a lot.

Isn't Lamin signed and on campus? If so, I would say he is no longer a recruit and this doesn't need to be in the recruiting forum.

Why do you think it's going to be Lamin? We have Surratt, Dukes, Dixon Jr., and Greene, and Griffin. Its not going to be easy for him to just come in and immediately jump all these guys. They are studs.

He's a talented dude, but don't be surprised if he doesn't start. I'm hoping we get Byron part II but JUCOs are risky.

Quarles was great at getting after the passer but seemed very average against the run. Maybe Lamin will have the opposite skill set with his bigger build? Who knows. I think we pretty set at least from a depth perspective at DT next year.

He's already on campus so I'm going to assume he's already working his butt off to improve and make impressions. He looks a good bit heavier than Quarles from his Hudl video I watched. Quarles was listed at 298, i'm betting Abu is 310 minimum.

I like his hudl tape. Quick first step for a big man and he wraps up which is good to see from guys now-a-days lol.
