Default College athletes can't read

This is a study done by CNN where they contacted 37 schools after a study showed that a number of college athletes can't read and write. South Carolina and Clemson were contacted. Clemson responded, South Carolina didn't but a USC professor is quoted in the article.

Interesting read which sheds some light on the poor treatment of athletes by NCAA schools for athletic purposes. Only paints the NCAA in a bad light as they don't handle scandals at various schools consistently.
