![]() Honestly I feel bad for Tahj. Everything I've seen, and every interview he's given portray him as a pretty nice guy. Hate to see anyone fail at their lifelong goal regardless of where they come from.
I especially hate it that he trusted his coach with decisions about his future.

![]() Shaw and Legree played in the NFLPA game, maybe someone else did too. The rest of our Seniors weren't invited. Not sure what else to say.

![]() What the poster is trying to say is only seniors are invited to these post season NFL scouting games. Underclass men are not invited, ever, to these. I don't know if it is a firm rule but it is always followed. So by saying it's the SENIOR bowl, the poster thought it was clear that only seniors could go. Hope that eliviated the confusion and doesn't come across as a smartass response.

![]() Let's try a different angle, which Senior do you think SHOULD have been invited?

![]() I realize Dabo will not get a pass on here; but I don't think he (or even Morris) should take all the blame. TB has made some great plays, but also made some poor decisions on the field (when the decision was his). He made at least two in the OB when he had the option to run or pass and he chose to pass (both INTs). Was he trying too hard? I do think there was a reluctance to pull TB if he was having issues. Sometimes that helps a player, other times it makes them worse.

![]() When you teach a kid to throw screens and fades on 98% of his plays, he's going to suck at reading a defense.

![]() All of the other players that left were not seniors, but juniors, Clowney, Quarles and Hampton. We had two seniors that played and two were not invited.

![]() Will do. I'll text him right now . . .
You're trying to compare Tajh to Nick Marshall regarding quarterback PASSING stats? Good luck. Marshall almost got to 2000 yards this year - almost. Nice. Want to show me your QB reading a defense, I'm happy to see it. If you think Marshall will be a starter in the NFL at any point in his career, you are beyond stupid.

![]() Also, Barner, I'm not talking about reading a defensive end on a read play. That's not a passing play (not sure if you actually understand football, judging by your last post).

IT'S MY GAMEFACE !

other recruits only see his stats, and hear the praise that follows them from the "experts" who's opinion is derived from stats only. Clemson recruits HEAVYILY, the skill players that can put up big numbers against the weak defenses they play in the ACC. They bring in (basically) a High School coach to run the offense, and he sets up a top tier High School offense with high speed, division 1A talent with little coaching to get players ready for "The Next Level" Funny how three pro scouts have all said almost word for word the same thing about Boyd's game. ..."He has trouble throwing to specific spots" ..."He waits until his receiver comes open before throwing the football" ...AND, he locks onto one specific target and forces the ball in traffic rather than go through progressions and finding the best option". They all say he runs well because of his body style, and as a result, puts his body at risk. "He has trouble throwing on the run" ...And as we all know, "He has trouble thinking things through in pressure situations" This is a result of being able to stand in the pocket the majority of the time against teams with average (at best) D/lines, and throw to guys Like Watkins, Hopkins, Bryant ect... Ain't it funny how others can see what is in plain site, yet the Clemson fans, coaches and most of their players can't see it. ... They talk about not understanding why they can't play without turnovers in BIG GAMES, and why Boyd seems to play (for the most part) Scared, in those big games...... It's because he plays in those games like he's coached to play. Rely on the Speed and quickness of the Skill players ONLY. Get the ball in their hands and let them out run people. YET When teams account for it, and make the QB have to go elsewhere or change his game, they are a 180 degree different team. Their QBs have to rely on something other than fast WRs or RBs, and they are lost. WATCH AND SEE: Deshaun Watson is the new Heisman Trophy, all world, National Title hope. They have already crowned him "The Next Jameis Winston". Like Boyd was the Next "Tim Tebow", Like Whitehurst was the next "John Elway" ect..... They were supposed to win an ACC and NC with Will Korn, but couldn't even get him in the starting lineup before he left the program. Watson will suffer the same fate as Boyd, as long as Chad Morris is the OC. He'll put up some lofty stats, play below par in games with strong defenses and/or Ranked opponents and when he has to prove he's ready for "Prime Time" he'll come up as Average AT BEST. ....... It's called being a system QB, and the Clemson System under Chad Morris is upper level High School football.

Nick Marshall will never play QB seriously in the NFL. If Marshall was half a QB they'd have scored on the 3rd play of the national title game. |
