Looks like a great recipe but a ton to do just for burgers. Also, the "set the table and make the salad" part. WTF? Did Papa not have a Mama? Very little time for beer drinking in this recipe as well.

Do ya'll use ground beef per se... I like to grind- in a processor- some sirloin, some beef short rib and some better - maybe rib eye or strip steak to make patties. Then just some salt, pepper and good mustard in the mix.

I have an electric meat grinder that I use for this. I can vary the coarseness of the grind too.

He ran with the bulls used for the ground beef after catching the biggest fish of his life. After dinner he drank some of this and that while petting his 6 toed cats until the sun also rose. Yet he still found time to make that recipe in between all of that. A Francis Macomber he ain't.

Rib Eye would probably be better than strip, because hamburger needs some fat in my opinion to cook right......

If you try your recipe, let us know how you make out!
Hope some day to make it to Nassau to try one myself!

You're right, sometimes I add some extra beef suet to the mix. I keep some in the freezer and cut off chunks as needed or for Yorkies.
May have to get a grinder attachment for a stand mixer
