I'm not as concerned about how this affects us (see below). I just think it's a bad idea in college football and you are forcing teams to waste valuable clock time when they have the ball. However, what happens if we are trailing in a game and need to catch up? I'm pretty sure we don't beat Missouri this past season if that rule was in effect. |

![]() I don't think the hurry up clock rule will hurt anyone. Most offenses don't get set in less than eleven seconds.
I think chip kelly is in the 14-17 second area.

![]() Does this offensive change mean 10 seconds after the ball is set for play? Or is this saying there will be at least 10 seconds before the ball is whistled ready?

![]() It would've possibly saved us in the Tennessee game because we wouldn't of lost our safety on that BS call. They need to make it to where they call it if the player obviously targets the head. He was aiming for the shoulder then the guy dropped his head down:

![]() The rule I most want to see changed or enforced if already there is refs allowing offensive players to block a defender outside the tackles while a screen pass is in the air. They do it all the time, and it often keeps a defender from making a play on the ball. It's pass interference, and worse than a pick, because it often keeps a defender from making a tackle.

![]() Defenses should have the opportunity to substitute. Being on offense should not allow a team to dictate the other team's opportunity to change personnel. The 10 seconds is probably a good compromise.

![]() They can if the offense substitutes. If the offense doesn't substitute why should the defense be allowed to? You should have the right people out there, and if you don't it's your own fault. They can substitute even if the offense doesn't but they should be ready to do it quickly, if they can't it's their own fault.

![]() I believe the rule is actually they can block downfield as long as the pass is behind the line of scrimmage. The rule in the nfl is different which is why you don't see as many screens like the ones run in college.

![]() If the pass is behind the line of scrimmage the defense can blow up the receiver with no penalty.
