Default Re: Eisenhower Tree at Augusta destroyed

I'm in Augusta tonight. Not a hotel room left in town. Everyone still without power. Trees aren't just losing limbs here, old pines are completely uprooted. It's bad...much worse than I would have ever expected.

Drove over to the course this afternoon; that place is on lock down. Police presence is heavy there for some reason. My guess is they're trying to hide some serious damage.

Was hoping they'd sell parts of the Eisenhower tree. Didn't see anything here about that though.

I personally doubt they will sell it. They'll probably make some sort of plaque or something out of it and hang it in the crows nest or locker room. May even give chunks of it to some member or something. But I just don't see them trying to make money off of this. They don't need the money.
