If C2 doesn't trust you..

![]() Pretty sure Luke Skycocker told me Perry Orth would never crack the depth chart.

![]() Connor Mitch and Noso are not that far apart with their overall performance.
Mitch has much better mechanics and "pocket Presence" than Brendan but if there's a distinction between them right now it's very thin. I'm still convinced that Connor Mitch is the future of the offense. He's the better passer and I think eventually will be the better general to run the offense. IMO, switching Noso and Connor wouldn't be that big a difference on the depth chart this spring. This could also be Spurrier playing games with them. .. Building up Connor's ego, while lighting a fire under Noso to push himself a little more. Right now they are neck and neck, but the big issue is "THERE'S A WIDE GAP BETWEEN THOSE TWO AND DYLAN" .. Not a good situation if it were Late August.

![]() Perry Orth is just a steady, nothing flashy, good solid QB who reminds
me of Dylan Thompson as a freshman. When you first saw him, you'd think "He'll make a good holder for our field goal kicker". ... Then the following year, his mechanics were a little better, little more "Zip" on his throws, and better footwork. THEN ... he exploded. Orth has a strong arm, and good footwork. He's not the most accurate passer, but he hasn't thrown any picks and when he finds a guy open, he gets it there quick. Not a Connor Shaw, but can move a little bit when the pressure is on him and create more time with his mobility. I can see why Spurrier has moved him up the depth chart. Even if it's just for getting the guys fired up some, I think Orth's efforts are getting him noticed by The Ole Ball Coach.

![]() Use Noso for short yardage downs, just like OU's Blake Bell.

![]() If you watch the post practice video of SOS, he said that Noso could be our "running QB"....

![]() I was at practice today. Nos was the #4 QB. Wobbly passes and not accurate. Let a shotgun snap sail right through his hands. GA yelled, "CATCH THE DAMN BALL"!!!

![]() It is possible, but I don't think so. Spurrier is ranking QBs day to day. Noso had a bad day at practice passing. That is why he is ranked last yesterday.
OTH, in the interview, Spurrier said Noso is probably going to be his "running quarterback." I think that translates into some PT for Noso. He is superior in that skill, and would be effective with our OL especially near the goal. |
