Or the 7'5 guy out of New Mexico...an out of shape mook who couldn't run up and down the floor.

I like that Martin is filling out this class with "shorter" guys that can run the floor (granted, all the players are taller than most fans on the board I imagine).
If we can land Josh Cunningham, another 6'6-6'7 wing guy that we need, that will be a good addition with Stroman, Blanton and Sheppard.

We have to have a big body to play defense, has nothing to do with the offensive end or being able to post, look at the team that won the national title! 6'5 Carrera led us in locks with 32, we need a big man to control the paint on D with upwards of 70-90 blocks on the year, he can set picks on the offensive end.

This kid is legit. If he has a good attitude and is patient, he could end up being a 20 mpg guy that gets loads of blocks and put backs. He'll never play extended minutes though.

No endurance or awareness, which are both correctable things in an 18 year old. What you can't do is take a really good 6'5" guy and coach an 8 foot wingspan out of him.

Also, a guy like this creates instant buzz. Would anyone remember that UNC Asheville team without Kenny George? No.

You can tell he hasnt played much, but there is some athletisism there also. I could see Frank doing some good work with the kid....but i could also see alot of other college programs doing the same.

Something about his hands gives me pause. And his specs. He doesn't seem like has great hand-eye coordination to me. If it is possible for someone's hand to be TOO big, this might be the guy. He also seems a little slow.
