If that's true, Ryan Mallet will be ready to step in. He will be like the Aaron Rodgers of New England. However, I think Brady plays another 4 years, assuming no major injury.

On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that they had signed the 6-foot-9, 277-pound Villanueva to a rookie free agent contract. A former defensive lineman, left tackle and wide receiver, Villanueva led the Black Knights with 34 catches for 522 yards and five touchdowns as a senior in 2009.
Villanueva caught the Eagles’ attention during a tryout at a Super Regional Combine in Detroit in April, though it’s unclear where the team intends to use the 25-year-old once he joins the team

Tomorrow night is going to be very interesting. A lot of story lines concerning the #1 pick. Really the top 5 and even top 10 of the draft is going to be crazy. I still think there is a possibility that ATL can trade up to #1. Here is my projection of the top 10.

1. Texans - Clowney. Again, it is possible that ATL or another team could trade up.

2. Rams - Do the Rams give up any hope that Bradford could be their guy? or do they give him some weapons. I'm thinking they will go with a 0-lineman. I pick Robinson

3. Jaguars - A team that needs everything they can possible get. No matter what they get...there will be no support around that player. For example, go QB, then they is no OL or WR compensate a QB. I think they will pick a QB but it will be later in the draft. I'll go to the defense on this one. Give me Mack. But, like the Raiders, they are due to do something stupid.

4. Browns - If Johnny football doesn't go number one. I think the Browns will pick up at four but don't be surprise if they would trade up a spot or two to ensure they get him.

5. Raiders - Watkins. I could see Watkins going before #5 but the Raiders will make a pointless pick and grab Watkins. Who will throw to him?.....Good question.

6. Falcons - If they don't trade up for Clowney, then they will stick to the defense. I say Aaron Donald.

7. Bucs - Mike Evans is my bet but I wouldn't be surprise if they go QB

8. Vikes - Blake Bortles. Lets face it...they are looking for a way out with Ponder.

9. Bills - Lewan. That o-line is crappy.

10. Lions - Anthony Barr. Hard to pick this one but it could end up between Barr, Fuller, or Martin.

NFL asst. is asking draft picks for their walk out music after pick. Clowney first picked Migos "Handsome and Wealthy" but switched.

I don't get these people on ESPN trying to say Mack is a more versatile player than Clowney. There isn't a single physical trait Clowney isn't better at and there is no way to compare Clowney's tape of playing against SEC talent versus who Mack played all year.

I don't understand the hype about Mack either. I know Houston plays a 3-4 defense but when Romeo Cronel was at New England they drafted Willie McGinest, who was a college DE, and that turned out well. I just moved to Houston and really would love to see Jadeveon here.

Reported cost to trade up for Clowney is pretty steep...

Quote:
With former South Carolina star Jadeveon Clowney the object of desire, Houston Texans general manager Rick Smith is seeking premium value for the pass rusher. Rapoport reports a swap of first-round picks Thursday night, plus two future first-rounders, is the demand.
The Texans aren't sold on Clowney as the No. 1 pick. "He doesn't appear to be a fit for their defense," Rapoport said Wednesday on Total Access, adding that effort issues aren't a concern for the team.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200...picks-in-trade

I'm sure Houston would love this trade. Especially with Atlanta, they NEED a QB more than they need Clowney. They would get their QB using Atlanta's pick (#6) plus two more first rounder's.

Not much time left to (have to) look at mock draft's since the real deal's tonight. But 1 last look at the WalterFootball mock draft (updated today) revealed something kind of interesting. According to how that mock had it playing out, a lot of our guys would end up together in the pros.

Round 1, pick #1:
Quote:
Houston Texans: Jadeveon Clowney, DE, South Carolina
The Jadeveon Clowney pick is pretty close to being locked in; we reported Wednesday afternoon that the Texans are not considering Khalil Mack or Johnny Manziel at No. 1. There's still a chance it could be traded, but the rumored Atlanta deal is probably not going to happen. The Texans would love to get a Robert Griffin-type package for this choice, but it's not going to happen.

From what I'm hearing, it seems like Houston believes there isn't enough of a difference between the first- and second-round quarterbacks to warrant passing on the greatest pass-rushing prospect in years. Besides, there's actually a chance the Texans can grab either Teddy Bridgewater or Johnny Manziel at No. 33; especially the former. Multiple teams believe Bridgewater will fall.
Round 4, pick #101:
Quote:
Houston Texans: Bruce Ellington, WR, South Carolina
The Texans could use a better slot receiver option, and I'm sure they're very familiar with Bruce Ellington, given all of the work they've done with Jadeveon Clowney.
Round 7, pick #256 (aka, Mr. Irrelevant):
Quote:
Houston Texans: Chaz Sutton, DE/OLB, South Carolina
Another prospect the Texans are familiar with. They might as well bookend the draft with a pair of South Carolina edge rushers.
I don't see this actually happening (if for no other reason than I don't see Bruce being on the board in round 4), but it would be pretty neat.

There's sooo much Manziel noise out there. Anyone who thinks he is going to Dallas is ridiculous. I don't understand why all these so called analysts keep thinking that. Vikings need defense, somehow I could still see them taking a QB though. Either Bortles or Manziel. Manziel could end up in Tennessee as well IMO.
