![]() Don't you mean "Lanning Spencer"? You know, the HBC's favorite player! LOL
Glad to see Gurley Man is making it in the NFL.

![]() not sure if this has been mentioned... but i wonder if he may get a look at receiver (a la julian edelman, brad smith, armanti edwards) since cleveland's are all injured, suspended, etc.

![]() Can't wait to see the progress this young man can make now that he has coaches that can spend as much time as needed with him. The NCAA really locks down how much interaction a coach and player can have, and the practices that can occur, etc. Guys like Shaw who love to prepare can make a big jump in ability early on just through the increased practices.

Look at the end of the day Connor is a good football player and a good QB, but there is a reason that 32 teams passed on drafting him for 7 rounds. I wish the guy all the luck, but let's be realistic here, he wasn't as good as Johnny was in college and will not be as good in the pros either. I don't doubt that he can make the team and IF Johnny does get hurt, then he might get a chance to start, but those of you that doubt the competitive fire in JFF and his work ethic surely don't know anything about the guy.

![]() Cleveland for connor is great. Being behind manziel is great. Cleveland now has two similar qb's so if one goes down the other can step in and play and hopefully not drop off much. Cleveland being cleveland, connor has a better shot of getting playing time down the road. Also to the aggie, shaw was easily the most underratted sec qb this year if not this decade, his stats his senior year prove that, and manziel getting all sec over him is a joke. The NFL teams passed on him because they could, and they could get him for cheap while addressing other needs. Smart play by the GM's. Connor isnt a pro style qb and him going where JFF goes is very logical for a team

You know in the nfl Johnny will have to be a pocket passer right or he will die and the same could be said for Connor. But I would not at all be shocked if little johnny fails and doesn't live up to his billing most of the NFL thought the same thing that is why he wasn't the #1 pick he thought he was. Don't be shocked if Connor is always right there competing for #1. Good news for little johnny is that Connor has always worked well with his fellow quarterbacks and Connor can teach him how to be a great quarterback not some flash in the pan fad and ![]()

Look it's ok to support your guy, but put down the Kool-aid for a second and realize that Connor just might not be as good as JFF. I would be willing to bet most unbiased football fans, players, coaches, and owners would agree.

But truth be told simply based on measurables (40 time, vertical, long jump, shuttle times) Johnny and Connor are pretty comparable. Just because someone is "flashier" doesn't mean they are a "better" athlete. Connor Shaw 40 time 4.66 3 cone 7.07 Shuttle 4.33 Vertical 34.00 Broad 116 Johnny Manziel 40 time 4.68 3 Cone 6.75 Shuttle 4.03 Vertical 31.50 Broad 113

I have already said what I think is a bold prediction, the guy won't be in the NFL in 5 years for a variety of reasons, work ethic being toward the bottom.
