![]() Might be the time to finally bet on the Gamecocks (I'll never do it otherwise). With the A&M game being the night after I arrive it seems as good a time as any to bet on the Gamecocks. Aside from that, what all should I do there? Going for a friend's bachelor party with some other guys but we will have plenty of time. Staying in Paris LV for 2 nights and NY NY for 4 nights.
I don't fully understand betting on games and the odds and such so maybe someone can provide insight on that as well. Will play casino games but only games like black jack, slots, roulette... trying to get the rules of craps down but seems way too involved especially since I will probably be on a constant buzz/borderline drunk. |

![]() I went for my first time in March, for 7 days. I actually went back for half a week leading into Memorial Day. My favorite bar to hang in before going out at night was Rhumbar... Its at the Mirage. It has really comfortable love seat type seating outside. Its a cigar bar, they have hookah, and live music or a DJ every night. We had a blast every night we went. Below is the view I took with my cam phone.
The piano bar across the street at Harrah's is fun late night as well. If you're looking for an awesome club, go to Marquee in the Cosmopolitan. I went to several clubs there, and have been to different clubs across the country. Marquee was incredible. Met these 2 girls (positive they were working girls), and they hung out and danced with us all night. I was not interested in exchanging money for anything, but they still kept us company. It was a lot of fun. Keep in mind that the premier working girls in Vegas are not typical prostitutes. Im talking these are smoking hot babes. Also, take a cab to Freemont street. Its worth checking out. I went on a Friday night and it was friggin nutty. Not the same type of stuff you see on the strip. 1 walk through the El Cortez will validate this. Have fun dude.

![]() Maybe it's just me but as long as I live I will NEVER understand the appeal of Vegas. I know some people love it and have a good time. Hope it's fun for you man but I don't get it.

You should definitely play a little bit at Hooters if you're staying a few nights at NY NY, since they're pretty close together. I think they had $3 blackjack there one night, which was perfect for my cheap ass friends that didn't want to spend any money on anything. ![]() I stayed at MGM last Februrary (which was lame, I like Venetian/Palazzo SO much more) and we spent way more time in NY NY. The Centrifuge bar inside of MGM was pretty cool, but there was construction going on with the Pac-12 basketball tournament coming up, so there weren't a whole lot of people coming through that area. I'll also second eightohthree's suggestion to check out "Old Vegas". I love it down there. Enjoy the people watching. It's unlike anywhere else on the planet.

![]() I'm a dice man. Whether it is on a local gambling boat or out in Vegas you will find me on the craps table. Here is a quick how to on the game.
Your drinks are free while you play any table game or slot machine. Vegas is known for more than just gambling however. It has become a gourmet food mecca. The days of the 99 cent steak and eggs may be gone but you will still find some bargains too. Be sure to hit up several buffets while there as well as dropping some coin in a famous place. Zagat likes these: http://blog.zagat.com/2013/01/10-bes...las-vegas.html. Urban Spoon says: http://www.urbanspoon.com/lb/18/best...ants-Las-Vegas. My fellow Yelpers say: http://www.yelp.com/search?find_desc...as+Vegas%2C+NV. Gayoy says these are the best buffets this year: http://www.gayot.com/restaurants/bes...ffets_4lv.html. The pools and spas are an oasis of a desert wonder as well. Budget in a mid trip massage as well. Travel Agent Central lists these: http://www.travelagentcentral.com/us...egas-spas-2014. Those are of the legitimate variety. Prostitution isn't technically legal in Clark county but opportunities abound. For the legal variety the old Chicken Ranch is now in Parhump, an hour away. https://chickenranchbrothel.com/inde...-list/87-bunny. As 803 mentioned be sure to go downtown one night. Freemont Street is old Vegas. This is it: http://www.vegasexperience.com/. You can zip line it now too! Downtown has lower minimums and better odds. Neon and glitz is great but you can OD on it. Rent a car and get away mid trip. Mount Charleston. Hoover dam. Golf. Hit up one of the great red rock canyons. Sunrise horseback ride. Lots of stuff to do. Here are some. http://www.viator.com/las-vegas-tour...=204&aid=m7068, http://www.roadtripamerica.com/DayTrips/Las-Vegas.htm, and http://www.ehow.com/facts_5271785_th...las-vegas.html. This is the official Clark county site: http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/visitor...s/default.aspx Speaking of rides, there are the pyramid elevators, gondolas, roller coasters, etc. Be sure to catch the fountains at Bellagio and the statues at Caesar's. For pure adrenaline though it is hard to top, literally, what is atop the Stratosphere: http://www.stratospherehotel.com/Act...s/Thrill-Rides DO NOT miss seeing a Vegas show or three while there! Always good stuff. Here is the playbill for the week you will be there: http://www.vegas.com/mytrip/app/Products/show?1 Always get a line pass. Strut your stuff pass the lowbies waiting in line. Lean on your concierge to get you free ones. Getting things as a group will get you lots of discounts. Speaking of discounts NEVER pay full price for anything. Send off for discount guides now. Here are some sights. http://www.bestofvegas.com/?mkwid=8j...bstofvegas.com. http://www.vegas.com/?utm_source=bin...egas.com|pmt|b. http://www.smartervegas.com/. https://entertainment.com/coupon/def...ress=las+vegas. http://www.groupon.com/. https://www.livingsocial.com/cities/30-las-vegas. Many others both online and printed freebies around every corner. Have fun and make a pass line bet for me!

![]() 2001...my first ever trip. On our first full night, I lost my buddies and, after partying with strangers, eventually crashed around 0530. At 0630, my buddies burst into my room and told me they just met a gaggle of Seattle babes who were nude, waiting on us in the hot tub. I lurched from bed. Brushed my teeth. Did two shots. Ran down to the hot tub. Mayhem ensued.

![]() I've only been once. Family vacation when I was 15 or 16, so unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy any of the vices available. Saw one of the Cirque du Soleil productions, which was pretty amazing. Would love to go back...

![]() Sitting in the airport waiting for my flight home. Spent Thursday night through Sunday in Vegas for my soon to be brother-in-law's bachelor party. Had a solid group of about 10 and we stayed at Caesar's. Vegas is always a good time but in small doses. Learned craps for the first time and I have found my new favorite way to gamble. Tons of fun and I won some money so of course it was good. Weather was fantastic as was the people watching. Certain parts of the strip can be very sketchy at night but I guess that comes with the territory. Ate at Tom Collochio's restaurant in the Mirage and it was fantastic. Overall it was a great trip and I didn't manage to gamble away all of my money.

![]() We stayed at NY NY 2 years ago... It is pretty nice, but next time we go, we might upgrade a bit to the Venetian.
NY NY is down a bit on the strip from the Bellagio/Wynn/Venetian/Paris... As for the sports book.. The cashiers will explain everything to you.. As for Craps... I just flat out suck at it... Love Blackjack and Roulette..
