My point is that there are some knuckleheads on here who think yelling, screaming, throwing stuff, punishing players for performance errors, and generally being an asshole, is good coaching. People like Phil Jackson have shown that positive, calm, rational coaching is probably superior to the type of coaching I just outlined above. Quote:

![]() I know one thing. Scrap the 3-4 we clearly don't have the d line personnel to run that scheme. Honestly that was pathetic. We made that kid look like a damn heisman front runner. Ward and the whole staff are on notice after this one...especially sands and adams. Heck the only d coach I saw coaching up on the sidelines was botkin.

![]() He actually said we have some coaching decisions to make on how to get a pass rush. I don't think he was threatening jobs yet.

![]() Easy pitch and catch. No pressure on QB and not a single receiver payed for it in the middle....just poor attempts to tackle at shoulder pad level. They looked like jv high schoolers afraid to lay a hit. Better finds some dudes willing to lay some wood or we are in for a long season.

We received several bad PI calls in our favor. He is right. The refs were on our side tonight and we still got steamrolled. I don't care what the stat lines look like. I was at the game and that was poor offense against a supposedly poor TAMU defense. We have issues on both sides of the ball. TAMU simply has better players and scheme. |

![]() Exactly and not a damn thing was done we need to realize that every game is a shootout and go out and never give the other team the ball. You can win by just putting up a million points even if you give up 3/4 of a million. Why can't we figure this out last year UGA knew it tonight gaynm knew it but we don't ever seem to get it until we are down by 2 digits in the scoreboard.

![]() Can't cover well, can't tackle well, can't pressure. Surely he saw this in practice. Being pissed now I get but what can be done to fix it?

![]() The defense was nonexistent - their offense basically just got some good practice in. Our offense was extremely inconsistent, at times DT was throwing to nobody. Don't know when I've seen a more complete beat down - and I've been watching Carolina football a LONG time.

![]() The tackling was horrible but the coverage was even worse.
If every receiver didn't have a 5 yard buffer around him that gave him time to catch the ball, plant his feet, and run, tackling would've been a little easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I can't believe some of the mess that he says sometimes....AND how in the hell would you (Head Coach) agree to some 3-4 defense??? You need MONSTERS 2 deep on the line and LB's. Hell SEC OL's are generally big and nasty and when they come of the ball the RBs are already running donw hilll The tackling is the worst I have seen...terrible.....Should have had tackling drills on the field immediately last night...I'm dead serious....It would have created a huge public/media humble pie tweet! These kids love to read how wonderful they are, etc. but they have no idea IMO. I mean get freaking NASTY! ![]() |

![]() DBs need to stop giving a 5-10 yard cushion at the line of scrimmage, and it would be great to see them cover all the wide outs. I'd rather see the D get beat deep on occasion, and make their QB thread the needle, rather than playing a soft-zone giving up 5-10 on short passes, seam routes, and slants. Prevent D should not be utilized until we really need to prevent them from scoring quickly. I'd personally like to see the DBs pressuring the WRs at the line, playing more man coverage, subbing fresh DBs into the game, and some type of disguises. Watching the D play all night was painful. In conclusion, the D coordinators need coaching.
I loved the bombs as much as the next guy; however, the Offense needs to play for first downs instead of looking for the bomb every other play. 3rd and long are not good situations. Sustain drives that keep opposing offenses off the field allowing our defense to rest and make adjustments. Our D should not be on the field for 50+ plays/game... |
