I'm ready to see what Mitch can do in game time situations; however,

1) We just lost one game, not seven
2) Our coaches feel most comfortable giving the reins to Dylan
3) The backup QB position is still up for grabs (Mitch hasn't been a world beater)

We will know more about our season and situation after we play ECU. I really disappointed, too, but it is way too early to jump of the ledge.

The only reason we haven't lost seven games is because we haven't played seven yet...

Dline talent:
Surrat: 2*
Dixons: 2-3*
English: 3*
2.5* avg talent

Lbs:
Moore: 4*
Lewis: 3*
Golightly: barely 3*
Low 3* average

Dbs:
Williams: 3
Harris jr: 3
Elder: 4
Marcus/moody: 3
Low 3 star average.

Compare and contrast that with uga, uf, lsu, bama, and auburn. Texas ATM didn't just beat us. They outclassed us because they held a HUGE talent advantage. Compare our teams talent to what we've had. Clowney, quarles, Taylor, Ingram. 4* average talent. Look at past dbs in Hampton, dj, gilmore, auguste. 4* talent. Our defensive talent has fallen off a cliff. I can step back and recognize that. We don't have the horses our competition has this year.

Next year we will have blackshear, wideman, and sawyer who will be able to make immediate impacts. Our lbs will be jr/srs. Harris, who has potential will be older. Elder will be older. Lammons/green/smith will all be more experienced and older.

Come on Crack, stars don't always tell the tale. We have a pretty good team on that side of the ball. Go back and look at the game we missed a lot of tackles.

Also as some have pointed out on this board, you can't practice touch football and expect to be ready for the real thing. Stay away from Nino Brown's house.

LMAO this is going to be like taking candy from a baby next week the way some of you are acting. I hope your players have the same attitude.

Jeez - how about this:

1. Put Byrd or Whitehurst at QB since we can't block inside, they have the best chance to get it on the corner.

2. Move Busta and Adams to running back - then we will have some big men out in front of the QB's with a little speed.

3. Dylan to center since he already knows all the calls.

4. AJ Cann to fullback (yes, we're going to run the wishbone attack) just in case we need a couple of yards on 3rd and short.

5. Defense - move all our WR's to LB....now we can get out and cover the WR screens quick.

6. The rest of the OL to DL...they know all the calls so will know exactly what the offensive line is going to do. Now we can adjust fast and cause chaos in the backfield.

7. Elliot Fry and Ard to CB's....can't tackle any worse but at least they have a chance to kick the ball out of the WR's hands for a fumble.

8. Mitch to punter....nobody will pay a lot of attention so he can just throw it wherever he wants on the field. Pinpoint accuracy....or, one of our gunners can run under it for a TD.

There you have the answer - after just one game, this would be my adjustments :-)

maybe we can find a place for some of the equestrian girls to get on the field as well. Possibly DT.

I wasn't blown away by DT's performance, but it's dumb to say he didn't play with heart.

I think he was shell shocked along with everyone else including all our coaches.

It's the first game, and even though we looked terrible, doesn't mean that's it...lets throw in the towel. It means we go back to work and look forward to ECU. For whatever reason - we didn't play good and ran into a buzz saw at the same time. Happens all the time in sports. Speaking of a BIG BUZZ SAW....Todd Gurley at UGA was a beast against Clemson tonight.
