I apologize for the expectation that you might think or look into things on your own.

We never got the chance to see if other qb options might not have also cost us the game, but there are established estimates for points lost by interceptions.
(between 4 and 5 points is as conservative an estimate that I could find)

so his pick in the TAMU game, arguable and without speculation falls in the category of a game lost.

3 INTs against Kentucky is another game.

pick against florida

you could argue with only opinion that UGA got out of hand early because of his play or lack there of

of the more definitive ones, the kentucky game is probably the worst.

We are in the Southeastern Conference. You would think that the Southeast would kinda sorta be where we focused on recruiting. And even if Texas and Missouri are past the edge of the Southeast, there are conference schools there, which generates interest amoung recruits. We have players from bot states and they are both much closer than Cali, where we recruited for this year's class.

We just spent 50 million on a Football Operations Center - do you think that spending an extra 100K or 200K on a coach would be an issue? It is the same argument that people bring up with our spending on recruiting - do not throw money away and recruit closer to home where the likelihood of success is higher. But if spending more money helps to improve the team, no one has placed limits on the budget. It is money well spent......

A&M scored 17 points on our defense in the first half. Bentley was very good in the second half. Their TE killed us for a ton of yardage.

We lost to Florida because our defense couldn’t stop their running game in the 4th quarter. Florida was also very lucky to catch the tipped ball for a 1st down.
We had a 17 point lead with 20 minutes to play.

UK scored 24 on our defense in the first half. Those picks were against a lot of pressure. How would Scarnecchia or someone else have done any better. They may have but they may not.

Seldom is there ever one player that causes a team to lose any game.

Having said that, there was no excuse not to play another QB in the second half of the Akron game or 4th quarter of the bowl game.

If Muschamp would allow me to attend all the practices, I would be happy to come on here every day and report what I saw to confirm which players were the best.

Our recruiting footprint is SC, NC, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. Not Texas and Missouri.

Agree, but back to the original point of not getting TDs in the Redzone v. our 3x 11 win teams: The biggest difference was QB rushing TDs, which again some allege that we couldn't risk because we had no back-ups at QB. Which we now know was BS.

There is no reason why we shouldn't try to win games by running our QBs. Our previous coach had no issues with his starter playing wide open and even getting hurt.

Absolutely. Footprint doesn't mean you only take players in your footprint. But it does mean that is where you focus and primarily recruit.

#2 is not proven... but I'd have put big money on us losing with him being in the game at some points simply because of the team play. Sure, we could have thrown someone else in there and ended up with the same result. But, not trying the obvious isn't the kind of coach I want to have.

At Carolina, heís got a 13-5 record in 1 score games. Also won more than any other coach in their frst 3 years. We just need better players to compete at a higher level against better teams. All these other comparisons are really kind of worthless.
