Agree 100% with the OP. Blount's was too stiff and this "punishment" ie missing a half against a 31 point underdog is way way way too light.

I hope the video of the attempt at eye gouging does for Spike's pro chances what a picture of a Tater a-hole name Kelly did to his. The picture of Yusef kicking at the head of one of our players ruined his chances at a career in the NFL. May the same thing happen to Spike for his thuggish behavior.

Yes, Brandon Spikes was caught on jamming his fingers through Ealey's facemask on Saturday. But I must say that being punched in the private area, and having your hand stepped on by someone with sharp cleats hurts much worse. Before you say there is no excuse for Spikes’ conduct, you might want to ask why. What if three plays earlier in the game the running back kicked Spikes with his Spikes? Just one dirty play for another dirty play and he got caught. Either way its not right. My question to the NCAA is this, how is this incident any different than what that RB did this year when he punched that guy out after the game? The NCAA needs to step in and suspend Spikes for at least 3 games.

Again the thing that I just really don't understand is their next game is Vandy, why not just give him the entire game off and at least act like you're actually punishing him...its just a joke all around...i hope he gets whats coming to him

I believe I would rather get punched in the privates and have my hand stepped on with cleats than to lose my eyesight.
