I respect you for playing through the pain. This showed some real toughness on your part and i thank you for that.

The injured shoulder to culliver according to lorenzo ward was the reason for the poor tackling.

HAHAHAHA this goes to all the USC fans, that after one poor defensive game that turned the loss to UT on Culliver...be in his shoes first and understand all the factors!

I appreciate the effort he gave but I wonder at least why his PT should have been less give his back-up a chance if hes not 100% imo

BAM... yea cockytalk was all over culliver for not giving his all????? I guess he gave 110% after all! and to whoever said we should have gave his backup minutes since he was hurting, you are correct, BUT Lorenzo said it was his fault for not noticing the trend throughout the game until he watched film. Culliver plays football and he's not going to come off the field unless he has to.

If this story is actually true then all the coaches involved need to be hung out to dry. To let a player whose injury is clearly influencing his ability to fundamentally tackle and his desire to take a hit continue to play is TERRIBLE. Cully was hurting the team Saturday night and I don't care HOW GOOD someone is, if they are injured to the point where their performance is hurting the team then he must sit.

Like I said before in defense of Culliver, quit the name game blaming, if you aren't being productive towards these KIDS you're part of the problem. We win and lose as a team now. Here's to NEW CAROLINA when you play through the pain and only have to admit it (or your COACH comes to your defense) when a bunch of jerks call you out in front of all of Gamecock nation.

He hurt his shoulder the previous weeks too? Culliver's crap effort isn't new. And it's great that he was out there, but I'm pretty sure he could still lift his arms to make a form tackle. If you're going to be a tough guy and stay out there, don't do it in a manner that will obviously do more harm than good for your team.

I agree. It's one thing for yokels like us on here to comment on it, but it's another for one of our former players and most popular radio guys start calling him out in front of gamecock nation, because their opinion is supposed to be informed and actually matter.

I do think as a player if you have injury problems going into the game that is not something you want them to hide from their coaches or our trainers. Culliver had this same shoulder operated on before it is not in his best interest to hide such a thing especially for a player with aspirations of an NFL career like Culliver. I appreciate him wanting to gut it out, but hiding it I don't really appreciate that. Reality is coaches aren't psychic to know a whiff on a tackle from a player not wanting to use his left shoulder to tackle somebody so I don't blame the coaches as much as some here do. I also think Duce had no idea Culliver was hurt either. If it was so obvious why didn't a single fan here on this board mention they saw it either there were none. It wasn't obvious I think we can admit that. In my mind I had just chalked it up to a good player having a bad game that was all and didn't make a huge deal out of it by even commenting on it on any forum.
