Tear Down the Wall

Just listened to a replay of the pressor. What I got from it is Steve is pissed off. He cut people off, he answered questions with an arrogance that basically said STFU, and he ended with "how's recruiting... there's something positive."
I hope and believe this anger/passion will roll into this weeks game. Love the enthusiasm. Just my 2 pennies. ![]()

Yeah, and he also got PO'd at the end of presser after the Clemson game last year (sniping at Ron Morris). That did a lot of good.
He can assuage his unhappiness by the $$ he makes. Unfortunately, the rest of us happy souls foot the bill. |

Yea, I loved it. The interviewer started to infer a late season melt down and SOS cut him off with a "We're 6-3 with an awfully young team! It could be a lot worse".
Oh yea, and I also love the money he makes. He is worth every penny!

SOS, like him or not HE IS worth as much a penny as anyone else who is a D1 Coach. We are in a position such that even if he absolutely sucked and came to work drunk every day we would have a hard tim releasing him.. That would make it two HOF coaches who we basically released while technically not releasing Co Holtz (Wish we had stuck with him). I have 2-3 significant problems with his HC job but he has done way more good than most others would have. He's not a very good manager of coaches menaing he doesnt hire well and then messes with the offensive pos coaches too much...then there's the play calling. He does however have a lot of positives and he is a great hood ornament meaning he has attracted players, money and generally positive attention....many other qualities. Who do you turn to after two HOF coaches...YOU HANG WITH HIM THRU MISTAKES...most coaches make 'em. He most certainly do the game-day planning and play calls...that is his strongest positive.
We are in a bad position with a poor history in a pro league......welcome to the real world but have real expectations

Spurrier's press conference was refreshing and different than most since he's been here.
I like that he's really sticking up for the players and keeping them positive. Often times after losses, he tends "to coach through the media" to get their attention. I also like that he has the guts to discipline Culliver at this pivotal time in the season, even though he's an excellent player. And I'm not uber-angry at Culliver either. He tried to gut it out, but it would have been better to let someone else who was completely healthy try and make those tackles. Here's hoping Spurrier takes his aggression to the Razorbacks on Saturday! Regards, HTCock |

You know, if you don't get pissed off when someone disparages your university by saying its graduates do nothing but pump gas, when are you going to get pissed and kick ass? The fact is that we have graduates who have been the CEOs of gas companies, etc. There's not enough room in a post to do justice to all of our graduates who have been successful in life, but if you look carefully, USC is a GREAT university, and when someone says anything about it, I'm ready to rock and roll with a left hook!

Bottom line is we aren't playing as well on offense as we were the first 3 games.
We have gone back to looking at the sidelines for a play as the play clock counts down....causes alot of confusion if you ask me. The OL isn't blocking and protecting as well as they were earlier. We're not protecting the ball. Basically, we have incurred more problems in the last several games, while at the same time we don't seem to be showing any improvement. We are sort of 'treadiing water'. It is the coaches' responsibility to have the team prepared for a game and to play personnel who are capable. At the same time if you have a capable player that isn't motivated...sit him down and play someone who is. GO COCKS!! |

I along with thousands of others received a great education at USC for the money paid. USC is a great public university. What you do with yourself after graduation is up to you. Of course, I looked at UNC and wished for Notre Dame, but for the money paid and time spent, am happy with the results and proud to say I went to USC. That top J School and business school I attended was and is still highly ranked. Time there prepared me for those early years out of college. The pumping gas comment was directed at the football players. Some do hope to play and move onto the NFL & could care less about getting a degree. When they don't go NFL, their career choices can be limited. As I teach my kid, play ball, get good grades, and use any future scholarship as an avenue for your education. Education first, football/NFL second. |

I dont see why the media cares about a bunch of kids playing football, to much pressure is put on them....
seems like the media would care more about the nfl

I would like to see an all out gameplan from the start to the end none of this conservative stuff, we need a blowout win imho.
