Good that he got reprimanded, but, much as I hate to say it, Kiffin had a point. The rules changed so that coaches could be suspended for speaking out against the officials. It seemed like the rule was actually made because of Kiffin, but if it's a rule it needs to be applied fairly and accurately. This seems like the SEC trying to make a fairly tough reprimand to save face while backpedaling from its position of suspending coaches. Guess we know they were bluffing now.

Question going around Volnation i would like to pose to you guys...what do you think would happen if the stuff that is going on with FL this week happened to the Vols instead.

so IF

During the SC game a Rico McCoy eye gouged Jarvis Giles and Kiffin only suspended him one half, then after that went on to criticize officials after we beat you (just like FL and Urbie did).

What do you think Slive would have done, I think it would have been FAR worse.

TN player would probably have a season suspension from the SEC and Kiffin would be suspended and heavily fined...

This fine is nothing more of a slap on the wrist to make the other coaches to keep from complaining....I have a feeling this one was handle behind closed doors between Slive and CUM and that the money will just be sent to a charity or something.

This is GOOD. The SEC actually didnt hold to their double standard for Meyer.

Evol it would have been worse simply for the fact that kiffin has been pushing his luck since day one on the job. If Kiffin stays out of their way and wins a couple NC's then I am sure his leash will get longer.
