I am traveling through ATL airport today and I am wearing my oldest, luckiest Gamecock baseball hat. The truth is I completely respect Arkansas because we can't seem to beat them in anything. It's beginning to drive me crazy how often they seem to have our number. I hope today isn't one of those days but - we'll see. This team showed yesterday how much heart they really have by two of the most dominant performances I have seen back to back. We needed that out of them, and the reward is - Arkansas again. Jeez.

Arkansas is scary good. I goof off constantly and say stupid things in threads but the thing in the game thread about disrespect is not true at all: I respect their team big time and always knew playing them would be way tougher than Florida ever was.

Arkansas has just as good a pitching as the Gators but the key difference is (and I don't mean this as a slam Gator fans) Arky doesn't flinch under pressure. Think about how many times Florida had misplays in the field at critical times that lost them games. Arkansas doesn't make mistakes. That attempted steal last night by Walker is a prime example. We did the same thing against Florida in the Championship last year, they threw it all over the place and we won. Arkansas was ready, they executed, and snuffed it out.

No matter the outcome today, neither team has anything to be ashamed of. Both teams are solid and will be a challenge for anybody. Arizona better be ready.

How many times last night did Arkansas pitch out when we had hit and run called? I think maybe twice??

Same can be said about South Carolina. Very well coached team and you have to work for each out against them. When Arkansas pulled that double play on the sacrifice bunt was pretty sweet. Highlight of our night.

I have much respect for the entire Arkansas fan base! I have several friends from Arkansas and they are great people, fans and love their University! This game will go down as one of the best! The team that is lucky and who wants it more will win. It is awesome to see these two SEC teams representing the conference and who ever wins better take it to Arizona. I hope both teams have a great game and may the best team win!
