What's the best version of NCAA in the last 5 years?

Interested in everyone's opinions as to the best recent version of NCAA. I haven't bought int a quite a while (since like 2007) and am thinking of picking it up. What year should I get?

Good Question. To tell you the truth, they all seem to blur together to me. What I can tell you, is DO NOT get NCAA '12. Road to Glory is maddening, Recruiting is OK when you get the hang of it, the the magical LB'S are maddening in any form of play. On top of that, the game STILL has a tendency to freeze up (a good bit), regardless of the fact that you download the entire game to your hard drive or not.

NCAA '11, while definitely not the best in the series, will give you somewhat of the current roster, and has a lot less issues. If you can find a copy for 15 bucks, I'd say get it.

This will be the first time since 2000 that I wont get the new NCAA, and I don't feel like I will be missing out on anything. In 2003-2008 (roughly), it seemed like NCAA was always 1 year behind Madden, and improving for the better each time. Now it seems as if EA has giving over the reigns to people that despise the Madden engine, and have decided to go it on their own. A lot of things don't make sense, and the direction is getting worse and worse. Simple plays, ref calls, computer AI which you think would be easy to adjust, get the backburner so you can see Dreads on your players or More stadium entrances (in outdated stadiums) for teams your really won't give a damn about.

The best version is available at Wal-mart, and it's not in the electronics section. You can find brown oblong balls in the sports section. They call them 'footballs'. Haha, ok I'm done being a douche bag.

I like 2009, but haven't played newer versions.

I loved 2005, haha. I was in the top 100 in the world on xbox live. Figured out a 4-3 blitz that was near impossible to move the ball against. But seriously, I think the gameplay has actually decreased through the years even though the graphics have gotten better.

If you want the best gameplay play a game from last gen. It is soooo much better. And it's not even close.

I honestly would not buy any NCAAgame from this gen. The gameplay is horrible in all of them. NCAA 04 and 06 are the best out of all NCAA games,

If we weren't limited by 5 years, I would say 2004 since that was the last time youcould literally win by. Whatever amount you felt like. Now, last years wasn't bad but not the best.

I might still have 04 or 06 lying around. Those are probably about the last time I bought the game. I got the tebow cover one but I traded it in within like a week.

Not saying any of the games are terrible...on the contrary...it just that each year it gets harder to justify paying full-game price for what amounts to an expansion pack...this is not a problem localized to NCAA football..it is the characteristic of every sport sim game that is released on a yearly basis...and as long as the companies make money from this system, there is no justifiable reason to expect it to change or even complain about it...it makes too much sense from a business standpoint...I still enjoy playing the last NCAA football game I bought and I have no real reason to buy the most current ones yet...I will probably pick them up as they become resales or when they pop up on ebay and craiglist...

2006 was my favorite year. I always liked to play with Mizzou, but after we lost to them in the Bowl Game I could never play with them again.

03 was fantastic for when it came out. 05/06 were both pretty solid. I feel like 05 was slightly better.

09 was the best recent (past 5 years) game of NCAA. Hopefully 13 is good because 12 was just frustrating and 13 looks more of the same.

NCAA 1974. It's pretty good. It's not made by ea tho. The graphics are great.
