Qatar is just west of Dubai but basically as identical weather and I was deployed out there in 2010 and I can tell you that I saw fog just like this! It was the most trippy thing in the world it was so think your visibility was about 2 feet! The thing about this time of year is that it gets so humid out there and puts so much moisture in the air its creates that crazy type of fog you see in the pictures! I know it shut down our flight line operations every time it happened! Forget trying to land a plane in that crap!

Pretty inaccurate. As a (formerly) chubby white dude, I can tell you first hand through my many visits to Dubai and the UAE (Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi, etc. as well) that most people actually go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I mean above and beyond.

One of the coolest people I ever met was in Qatar.....His name was Atal but everyone called him Desert Fox. He drove me and some friends through the sand dunes in Qatar it was crazy fun one of the craziest things I have ever done in my life but a great guy! The people there really do go out of their way to impress others!
