yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh he sucks. The Heat just got older versions of Mike Miller and a worse Battier.

They got two players that almost noone wanted haha. Love how Heat fans act like these are huge moves. Lewis is awful, and that second unit will be embarrassingly bad on defense

Getting guys who will play well off of LeBron. Smart moves by Riley. Lewis isn't what he used to be, but on a good team and with the right attitude, he's gonna make a great stretch 4 off the bench.


And on a minimum contract no less.

Allen and Lewis can shoot lights out, all you need when you got Lebron and Wade and Bosh to do the dirty work.

Bottom line no matter what people want to say about Allen and Lewis is the Heat are better with them then without them. And that's sucks IMO. Of course they have to figure out the chemistry but these guys know what they're getting in to and now know Lebron and the Heat already know how to get it done.

Other teams have gotten much better... And they will not keep battier or miller. Rashard Lewis scared me 8 years ago.. Now no, not at all. They have zero defense on the second unit too

Also, why do people make threads concerning middling pick ups by the heat?? Where is one for hinrich to the bulls?? Much bigger than this lol.

Unless its actually a big move, no reason not to keep it in the designated thread.

We play great team defense. So he won't hurt us there. We covered up Mike Bibby for Christ's sake. And to whoever the genius was that said Battier wasn't coming back, you have no clue what you're talking about.

Well its simple actually. because they won the championship and are still making moves in the off season to get better and win more championships. Its a pretty crucial when there are a lot of other good teams making moves.

People thought the same about Eddy Curry. Both have been injured and are a shell of what they used to be (Eddy used to be a lock for >55% fg shooting).
That being said, the Heat seem to be what the Lakers were after they won those championships with Kobe/Shaq, a burial ground for aging former "stars".


I love what the Spurs, Thunder, Celtics, Bulls, Lakers, and Pacers have done this offseason much more than the Heat. Especially the Celtics. They look like the most dangerous team in the league (not best) if they stay healthy... Ridiculous depth and talent at every position

maybe we need a heat offseason thread? having shooters and being versatile is what will make the heat tough to beat. gotta credit how riley pulled this off adding two all stars in one offseason then in the time since being able to get guys who could still start and sign them to fill out the roster despite when they got lebron and bosh everyone thinking they wouldnt be able to surround the big 3 with good plays, screw pat riley.

No, the first team unit is dominating on defense, but the second team is horrible. If ray allen and Lewis are on the floor, 2 of the big 3 are off.. they have laughable interior defense (Anthony is solid on the weakside, but still no big trees underneath), and Lewis/Allen cannot stop anybody driving to the bucket.

Ray allen and Lewis would not start for any contending team.. MAYBE the bobcats, even then MKG/Hendo woud probably start. Please use logic haha, unless you are saying they could start in the D League
