This kid is the real deal. His top choices as of now are Duke, UNC and Kentucky. They're saying he's the #1 recruit in the nation and his coach claims that he's the best player he has ever coached (Parker attends Derrick Rose's former high school if that tells you anything).

Yea he is. I don't think so. I know they were concerned about whether or not he would choose to go on his mission but I'm not sure what he decided about that. His big 3 are Duke, Kentucky and UNC.

I'd say Duke is a very long shot at this point because they picked up transfer rodney hood who will be coming in the same year. Hood is just as good as parker right now, maybe not by then. They play the same position, and Duke has other versatile forwards that need minutes. I mean Parker could share the floor with Hood, but where does that put Amile Jefferson and Alex Murphy and possibly Dawkins if he is back?

I greatly value your knowledge of Blue Devil basketball. You a fan? This is a good point, but Duke does match well with his values and academic aptitude.

He is Mormon. His dad played in the NBA back in the day. He is gonna be one and done anyway I think it would be awesome if he stayed at home and went to Depaul or Northwestern since he will only be there 1 year anyway

I was very close to the 2001 Duke roster but have kept up with people that know the staff. I hear stuff from time to time. Although I've had bad info before. Like when I was told Barnes didn't like Roy Williams during recruiting. Right now I would say Parker would like to come to Duke or UNC but he knows UK will give him the best shot at a number one pick. He is a really smart kid. UK will need to have a really good PG for that to happen. That is important for Parker apparantly. I wish he would go to Depaul. That would be awesome for their fans if they have any.

A Duke starting 5 of these guys would mean easy Final Four IMO:

He's probably going to go to Kentucky, learn some defense from Cal, and then bounce to the NBA. Say what you will about how Cal gets the talent in, he can mold a great young player into an elite one - Rose, Evans, Wall, Cousins, etc.

He is like danny ford was to me. Cheater and a scum bag however once it is game time he is one of the best coaches there is on gameday

Don't wish that on the poor kid. DePaul is garbage (I live 2 blocks away from the undergraduate campus). Not to mention their games are played in Rosemont, not in Chicago (hour and a half away by the CTA). Oh and Oliver Purnell is their coach, lol. If they would build a decent arena at the Lincoln Park campus, they could really recruit with the best of them. Apparently it's a dream they're working on:

DePaul could be in the beginning stages of relocating its men's basketball team to an arena closer to the school's Lincoln Park campus in Chicago.

According to a draft of the school's 2018 strategic plan, DePaul would like to "to seek opportunities to bring men's basketball back into the city." The plan is expected to be voted on at the next board of trustees' meeting.

The Blue Demons have played at the Allstate Arena, previously called the Rosemont Horizon, in Rosemont, Ill., since 1980. They hold a 311-141 record at the arena. Still, the venue's location -- about 15 miles away from DePaul's Lincoln Park campus -- hasn't created much of a homecourt advantage.

Given Rose's connection (you see him at the beginning of that youtube clip) to his high school, I would put money on Parker going to Kentucky. Don't forget Rose played for Calipari. And with D Rose rehabbing, he's got all the time he wants to hang out at Simeon.
