CT App?

Maybe its just me, but do you think Cocktalk needs an app on the Apple app store and/or Droid market? Whenever i try to get on CockTalk on my ipod/pad i have to go to Safari and its annoying to navigate and post stuff. I'm sure you have to go though a bunch of legal stuff with Apple and Droid to get one but i just think it would be helpful.

Idk, it could be me just being stubborn...

Tapatalk has been suggested a few times, but I don't think the admins have incorporated it yet, even though cack liked the idea.

Do you realize how much money and resources that would require? I believe that is way to much to ask from a site that is provided to us for free like CT is.

It would be great to have a CockyTalk app. But, it's a pretty large investment (time, money, usually both) to get a legitimate app up and running at full speed. Since, CT is free of charge (we're all guests in the Hoskins house, here) I understand why there isn't one and I'm fine with it.

The newer versions of vbulletin software have mobile app capabilities built-in. But, again...that would require CT to invest in a new version of a software that is otherwise perfectly sufficient.

An app would be nice but I visit Cockytalk all the time on my iPad and never have any problems posting or navigating with Safari. I also don't post a lot of pictures or links so that may make it easier for me to deal with Safari.

It is a pain on an iPhone. Generally I just zoom in enough to see comments and don't even bother seeing who posted them unless it's something that really catches my eye. I'd like to see a mobile form of the website (come on, even taternet has one). I think many of us mobile users out there would donate to the cause.

Its works on a smart phone but its just annoying, especially on the Apple products i have. the iPad is better since its "newer" and is bigger but its still a little bit annoying. I mean, i dont mind paying $0.99 cents for an app.

I had a very basic app almost complete at one time, for Android at at least, but then my computer crashed and I lost it. Might get back into it if I can find the time. Im working 70 hours a week and am about to go back to school full time to finish my degree.

We do have a mobile version, just not in app form

Yeah. I'm on the mobile version now. It used to be blue instead of garnet.

how do you switch between mobile and non mobile version...it opens up to the regular site on my iphone

To get it to the mobile version. Go to the Cockytalk index, and at the very bottom in the left hand corner, there should be a drop box that says Default Style. Change that to wireless, and BOOM! There ya go.

Yeah I don't know but no iPhone users can access the mobile version. It's full regular site all the time. I clicked the link that was posted (I'm on my iPhone now) and it redirected me back to this thread.

Sounds like Apple is the problem and not CT. Not surprised there. Works just fine and easy on my Bionic.

And yes, I am a total Apple hater. Best marketing division in the history of retail though.
