Solo managed to steal the spotlight away from the American team’s victory Saturday by taking to Twitter and throwing a barrage of shots at US national team legend Brandi Chastain.

Why can't this attention whore keep her mouth shut, she just needs to focus on keeping that ball out of the net, we lost the 2011 women's FIFA tournament because of her. I hate to tell her but being critical of play is part of the play by play job. She is lucky to even be part of this National Team, she has always been about herself and today she continues to prove it.

I dont think it was that bad. Its not like she called her out for being a bad captain. Maybe she thought the commentating sucked, which is always the case when you have former players trying to sit in the booth.

If Solo would have said something about Chastain being a bad captain I would have had a problem with it.

Hope Solo and Chastain have had issues stemming back further than this incident....The two just don't like each other......Chastain always finds away to insult her without out and out calling her a horrible player and Solo calls her out on it pure and simple.....

I don't see why see why she had to say anything period. Chastain was pretty partisan on the sucker punch calling it as such if Solo honestly thinks that commentators are going kiss their ass every second of a match then she is a lost cause.

Yea Solo has always been outspoken and that aint gonna change....I know Chastain was pretty critical of Solo when she failed her drug test and did the typical call out on Solo without actually making it look like she was bashing her....Kinda like a backhanded compliment.

Probably because it pissed her off. America is already pretty hated, the team doesnt need an american commentator pointing out negatives. I would have called her ace out too.

Yeah cause she choked in the World Cup. Needs to keep her mouth shut but probably was drunk anyway and in a 3 way when she posted it. Her rep she has admitted to speaks for itself. Her attitude takes away from her hotness big time and she really wasn't a jaw dropper in the first place.
