Lizard Thicket...

Is it any good? The one time I was down there I ordered a chicken strip biscuit to go, and they left off the chicken strips. I normally wouldn't think about giving a place another try after a mistake like that, but the biscuit was good. Do you have any recommendations towards what I should try?

It was always good when I used to eat there inthe late 90's. It was my usual hangover cure on sunday. I'd usually do country fired steak with side of mac and cheese and fried okra. Can't really screw that up.

FWIW to you an AU fan - One of the owner's sons is a Bama alum

It's amazing! Fried chicken white meat, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, fried squash, and get mixed bread. Makes me miss South Carolina and Lizard's Thicket just thinking about it.

I just do breakfast there once a week during the school year.

I'm not into comfort food for lunch and dinner eating out

Today is chicken liver day. Its whats for supper tonight. Chicken livers, mash pot and gravy, mac ans cheese, fried okra, sweet tea and chocolate cake. Sunday after church lunch on a tuesday night. Yum. May get baba limas instead of fried okra

I hit it up for lunch at least once every time I am back. I usually get the country fried steak, fried okra, greens and squash casserole. It is a great deal!

Good food. The Williams are great people. I always hit it up when I'm in Cola. I get the fried catfish, okra, mac, and mashed potatos and gravy.

I actually ate there for lunch yesterday while in town on business.
Had virtually the same meal, but substituted cabbage instead of fried okra.
The mac n' cheese was killer, so was the country fried steak.

Is definitely a good meat & three type restaurant.

For breakfast lately, I've eaten the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy. Such a good breakfast.

I've always loved Lizard's Thicket.
